How can a game with such a pretty 'open world' and flying iron man mech suits look so boring to play...
Nothing in Anthem for you then. Probably have to wait for new Dragon Age or something akin to that.Yeah, looks so damn boring, ugh. I want a proper epic Bioware RPG, not Destiny 2.0. I hate the progression towards GAAS, too. I miss the days of complete games. Not everything in this industry has to be GAAS, ugh.
Didn't they already say that's not happening, tho? Pretty sure this is the new GAAS Bioware now. :(Nothing in Anthem for you then. Probably have to wait for new Dragon Age or something akin to that.
Suit abilities are loot drops and show up as different parts on the chassisI hope the customization isnt limited to recoloring your suit.
There is a switch for it in the options. Thanks for posting this! I hope they get rid of the Borderlands like notifications in regards to damage points and combos.
Thats not really someting I would call customization though.Suit abilities are loot drops and show up as different parts on the chassis
They've repeated multiple times recently they are working on a new Dragon Age so I'm not sure where you got that from?Didn't they already say that's not happening, tho? Pretty sure this is the new GAAS Bioware now. :(
Awesome!
I don't think what was shown in this video is indicative of her actual strength. Seemed akin to making players invulnerable when making gameplay videos like this. Like they didn't want to show another phase of the fight or something, as they also intentionally cut the video before she's even remotely close to dying. The bullet sponge nature of the queen is such a turn off for me.
Oh really? That's awesome! :DThey've repeated multiple times recently they are working on a new Dragon Age so I'm not sure where you got that from?
"That was actually the tip of the iceberg," explains Anthem Lead Producer Mike Gamble when asked about the customization shown in the stage demo. "You have your four exos and there's a level of customization to each of them. You can obviously customize decals and paints. You also can customize the silhouettes of each of the armor pieces. And you'll be able to mix and match those armor pieces as well."
BioWare is still working on the specifics of unlocking new armor pieces, colors, and decals. Gamble did confirm that there will be a number of different ways to upgrade the look of your Javelin.

The damage numbers are ok. the crit, combo damage are not.
Now, that on the other hand is what I call customization. Thanks for posting that. :)
Dragon Age 4 is being worked on by a smaller team in Edmonton. It's just not currently the priority for them.Didn't they already say that's not happening, tho? Pretty sure this is the new GAAS Bioware now. :(
There will probably be other unlockable pieces that'll be entirely cosmetic
Was unexpectedly boring for me even though I was excited for the game. Perhaps due to not being a fan of tank classes and that boss being a bullet sponge.
The world, the flying, co-op, customization.
You really shouldn't expect anything good from the story of a game that is supposed to be Destiny-like, these games are not made with a big focus on story.Skipping through the 20 minutes I saw: flying, sprinting, sprinting, aiming weapon, flying under water, flying in the air, and combat with overly large dps numbers. I don't know. I'm not really confident in this. No way can I see Bioware delivering a story or lore on par with ME 1-3. The world is too big and and I imagine NPCs will just be activity vendors.
