always ps4 as main console, a large portion of these people have no loyalty though so it doesn't really benefit ms or Sony forever. They'll jump back to ps5, then Xbox x2 then ps5 pro etc etc.
If only that were true

Or you compare on the same TV that has connected a Pro and a One X as I did with my neighbors PS4 Pro and my own Xbox One X as I only have a PS4 Slim. Comparison took place with similar or identical scenes. Result: There was only one game he was not able to see a big difference and that was FF15. All others we tested (where we had both the same game) my neighbor saw the difference (RotTR, ACO, GhostRecon: Wildlands). After we did the comparison, one week later he told me he bought an X. He never owned a Xbox before btw.on paper those differences are huge and impressive but in reality its hard to perceive a huge difference without seeing them side by side
Yes, because my PS4 is extremely loud. I hate it. My xboX is the opposite. Much better
I think this says more about your eyesight! Or TV. I can understand if you're struggling to see the difference between 1800p and 2160p unless you have a decent sized TV and eyesight, but in a game like The Evil Within 2 for example, going from Pro's 1260p to X's 1800p is obviously night and day. Even games like Dishonored 2, Wolf 2 and Farcry 5 are instantly noticeably sharper without any side by side comparisons needed - and once you get used to this it's difficult to go back.
There is another major difference between Pro and X of course, that's impossible to miss even if your TV is switched off.
I enjoy Sony's first party stuff...but it's usually a play once never play again type deal on most titles
I get that this is your opinion, and that's fine but I've now seen it so many times so I want to comment on it in general.
I really dont see how "Sony" games are any more throw away than any other. To me pretty much every game is play once material unless its GAAS and a good multiplayer. Like objectively can anyone explain how Sony games are the worst for multiple play throughs?
Yup, just like using the X more.
The games are not bad...don't get me wrong....but Sony's 1st party stuff are generally single player games and to me once you have played through offer no more replayability outside of collecting trophys or the odd dlc add-on like the frozen wilds but I find no other compelling reason to go back and play them
Give ms shit for concentrating on gaas but it's a model that adds continued content and most of the ms 1st party stuff is multiplayer so it's always a different experience so its a big point of difference i think which people overlook
Hope that explains my reasoning....it's not bagging out Sony's first party stuff which I love but it's a single serve experience on ps4 for me.
What else would you buying the 1X for outside of BC? Makes very little sense to buy an Xbox 1X and then keeping playing gimped versions if third party games on your PS4.
Gimped? Ok then.
Third party games still look amazing on the Pro, and there are other factors apart from visuals that may make the PS4 version the best option.
If sony bought back games like socom ....mag..warhawk..twisted metal.it would probably mean more time on the ps4 for me .....I miss those gamesI agree for sure, and that's why I commented in general since I've seen so many ppl say it. GAAS is definitely where the time playing is. I've put a ton of time in Fortnite more than most games. But I just feel it isn't just Sony, it's pretty much every game. I can list the endless amounts of games I've gotten bored with and dropped or raced through outside of Sony exclusives. Many of them third party publishers. I tend to actually finish sony games because they dont bloat as much as other games.
"For those that own both consoles."No. I have them all on one eco-system. The PS. For Nintendo exclusives, there is the Switch. I don't need a XBX.
They're gimped relative to the 1X versions, doesn't mean that they're bad. If you had a PS4 Pro and then bought a 1X but then still played all your third party games on the PS4, what was the point of getting the Xbox? Having the best third party console games is the main reason to buy the the thing for most people.
You're expecting too much.
X is nice but assuming the PS5 is backwards compatible, the X is irrelevant. Imo this is the generation backwards compatibility becomes critical and MS fucked up out the gate. I loved my X while I had it but I always found myself buying PS4 titles regardless. Like RDR2 for example is a PS4 Buy, built from the ground up for PlayStation implies the X version will be more brute force and less finesse.
I dont think there's a chance that rdr2 will run better on the pro..I mean why it would? The x is just better hardware...maybe moneyhattin them but ..that would become an instant insult to the devs and R* aren't stupidsX is nice but assuming the PS5 is backwards compatible, the X is irrelevant.
