I haven't watched it yet but wanted to after a friend of mine recommended it. Glad to see it's on Hulu now. I'll have to watch it sometime this week. Thank you for letting us know.

Love me some Booksmart.

The first trailer is also one of my favorite recent trailers.

This and Justified made me a fan of Kaitlyn Dever.

Hulu is secretly Disneys best streaming service. Watch Booksmart and then Dollface and also Shrill. Lots of good comedies built around women.

I never got what people saw in Superbad
I think it hit that sweetspot for kids from the 90's and early 2000's which hadnt had a defining comedy movie moment yet, so like "woah that girl got PERIOD blood on his jeans!" edge humour in a live action comedy about high schoolers was fresh

Shrill was a huge surprise for me when I watched it earlier this year, and Booksmart is hilarious, so I guess it's time to go watch Dollface.

(I watched Shrill with my mom and both of us were surprised by the morning-after pill's weight limit; it surprises me the show didn't pick up more buzz in general.)

I enjoyed it but it wasn't the amazing piece of comedy that many here were extolling. It still fell into the same boring high school comedy tropes and was very predictable. The actresses were great.

Been wanting to see this, so thanks for the thread!

Yup this is accurate. I first saw it on a bootleg (too young to see it in theatres and too timid to sneak in) that had a laugh track courtesy of the audience and it was the epitome of comedy to me for a long time. I rewatched it a few years back and it's fine, but it mostly works due to nostalgia for me.

My cousin bought it on blu-ray not too long ago. It was fun. Shout out to Billie Lourd.

This movie was a solid 7.5/10, pretty good but nothing special. Not one really memorable or standout moment like other generational comedies except perhaps the Uber scene. I wanted to really love it but alas.

My friend worked as PR for the movie and let me and a bunch of other people see an early screening and loved it. The way the two female leads shower compliments at each other is how me and my best friend talk to each other now lmfao

I really didn't like this movie. My wife and I almost left the theater. It was boring. Maybe I'm just not cool enough.

We both enjoyed Long Shot and Good Boys much more.

Best movie I've seen in theaters all year. Also the only one.

It was still really, really good though.

I thought it was pretty funny, but maybe could have used more comedy and less seriousness towards the end.

Billie Lourd was fucking awesome.
