I'm confused by the display. They claimed 120 refresh rate like the iPad Pro's Pro Motion...is that indeed true? If so, that's already a selling point for me.

I thought that's what it was. What could the issue be? Aren't wireless chargers old hat now?
How did you try it? Apple Store app? Does it do a hard pull on your credit?
I'm at work I don't wear my Apple Watch. It's at home
My wife knows my password for x reason and that watch has cellular. Can I block access to phone call or sms reception if I don't wear it but she tries to open / wear it ?
It's not. It's 120Htz 'Touch sensing rate'. It's improves latency of your finger touching the screen. The refresh rate is the same as the X.This is not a pro motion display.
Thanks. Noway to remotely block that? Now I wish for Touch ID on watch ... damnIt was supposed to be a charger where you could put any three compatible devices down anywhere on the mat and it would work. No exact positioning necessary. So very unlike current wireless chargers.
Only if you do a new loan from scratch. If you do an upgrade it only does a soft check. If that poster paid off their 7 then reapplied, then yes it did a hard check.
Phone calls and texts go to both the phone and the watch if the watch is being worn. Just the phone if the watch isn't being worn. If for whatever reason your wife puts on your watch and unlocks it with the passcode, she would be getting your calls and texts, yes.
Nah, this is just fanboy stuff. Above a certain point pixel count doesn't matter, but 720p on a $750 phone is unacceptable. If you're used to high res screens, you will absolutely notice it, especially when watching media. The resolution isn't ideal, but pixel count isn't everything with phone screens. People should know that by now.
Got Preapproved for a Space Gray 256GB XS Max. Do I definitely want to be up and awake at preorder time (I'm in CST so it's be 2:01AM for me) or I can wait till the morning? My first time buying from Apple directly.
I was under the impression that 720p wasn't HD though, 1080p was? Or is that "ultra HD"?Streaming Netflix in HD
Netflix offers HD streaming for most titles!
To stream in HD you will need:
- A device that supports an HD resolution of at least 720p.
So if I have a 42mm Watch now and switch to a 40mm, will the screen wind up being the same or bigger?
I wanted to order online but I feel like I need to see this in person now
Oh well I guess I'm staying up on Friday lolIf you want it close to launch you better wake up. If you're okay getting it weeks later you can sleep
it can still play 1080p content despite the screen resolution being 720I mean, you can't even watch HD Netflix or YouTube. It's different right there already lol
Perfect for me.
What's all this getting preaproved to do a purchase you guys are talking about?

The Apple trade in program. You can fill out an application for it now to streamline your purchase when preorders go live. What's all this getting preaproved to do a purchase you guys are talking about?
XR vs XS
- Lower resolution
- 3D Touch
- Telephoto camera
- Screen quality (LCD)
- IP67
+ Bigger screen
+ No glass back (better durability)
+ Better battery life
+ 25% cheaper
Same A12 processor, FaceID setup, full body display design, main camera, wireless charging, true-tone display.
This is a winner in most people's books.
I can definitely see 1080 as worst than 1440. 720 (or anything close to that) is really noticeable, UI will need some adjustments, letters will be bigger...Oh, I'll probably get the XR for sure then. People get so caught up in tech specs. Can anyone honestly tell the difference between 320ppi and 400+ppi at the typical distance they hold their phone at?
nah, I'm not rich lol. I was more of thinking of the iPhone setting the bar for refresh rate so when I upgrade in a few years it'll be the standard. You were possibly getting a new iphone despite getting a note 9 a few days ago? damn
tfw poor
Use Apple's "Giveback" tool on the ordering page on their website and see how much they'll give for it.
Yeh I was looking this myself, I really want the dual cameras (+ 3D Touch) of the Xs, but that superior battery life for the Xr is calling me....XR vs XS

Ah confusing names. So they can't watch full HD content then720p is HD. 1080p is usually called Full HD. Ultra HD is technically what is usually called 4K (3840x2160 versus 1920x1080), but "true" 4K is actually 4096 pixels in the horizontal.
Possible but I'd say unlikely. Would make much more sense for them to mention it at an event with a new watch and phone which would be the main use of it compared to an iPad event. Is it not possible that nobody is allowed to talk about AirPower because it's coming at an iPad October event?

I think I'm just gonna pay Apple to replace the battery in my iPhone 7. I saw nothing that was worth 1100 dollars.
I'm seeing used iPhone x for $700 on swappa, so... Unless the a12 chipset is a gamechanger, don't see why most ppl don't just get a used x over xr? Or even the xs really..
I just did this and they broke my phone.
I shit you not.
Not only that. They refused to give me a new iPhone 7+. I got a refurb and it killed my resale value.
Lol.
The battery life on the refurb sucks too.
£625+VAT.
Right now it's saying I'd get $285 for my iPhone 7+. I'll have to check again when the XS actually becomes purchasable and see how much it goes down. I'd take advantage of it if I could apply it to a different product. I don't plan on buying my phone from Apple itself.
