Do you think tech wise this could work on a Switch?
I'm curious since we got a couple of announcements for similar games like Pillars of Eternity and Wasteland, maybe this one could work too, especially 2p co-op on the same console.

Also ... the pc version does not have couch coop?
Because like I totally played the first one on pc with a good couch and a friend

There's little reason Original Sin 2 would NOT come to consoles btw, unless the first one really sold so godaweful it's not even worth it to get it in the store. It already has full controller support, large fonts for TV etc. It's long been ready set to go imo, they're probably just waiting for a good time for release.

Idk if I've seen a copy in the wild since launch and I think it's expensive for a retail copy.

It will probably release on consoles rather soon but this tweet? Don't think there's a hint to any of that.

They tweet out shots of characters and parties fairly often and because local coop is already possible, I don't think the couch is a reference to console platforms.

I hope it comes soon. My wife and I had a blast playing D:OS coop. We've been waiting for some news of the sequel.

I think so, yeah, with some fiddling and limiting effects and such.

Game is truly excellent.

D:OS is an absolute *joy* to play, the combat system makes every encounter feel like a puzzle and it's one of the few games to truly make me consider every single option available to me in a fight because of how goddamn fun it is to chain attacks together. and the writing is full of personality! from what i hear, 2 is even better in both regards and i look forward to the chance to play it

2 has a much more intense narrative. It honestly had me on the edge of my seat.

I'm definitely not a tech guy, but there's a side quest in the game where the whole screen is on fire and there are a lot of enemies on the screen. My laptop can handle most AAA games on 1080p/low to medium setting but frame rate was really really terrible on that side quest. Other than that side quest, I don't think there's any reason. But as I said I'm not a tech guy.

I knew this would come after 1 did...but man if they come to Switch I'll double dip. One of the best and most refreshing RPG experiences I've had.

I'll absolutely partake if true.

I played through the entirety of Original Sin on the PS4 via couch co-op and it was a terrific experience.

Larian does have a PAX East booth this week. Would make sense to come there with this announcement.

Didn't they say before release that possible console ports will be directly depended on PC sales as they need more cash for making them?

Game has ~1.25M owners on Steam alone (game is also on GOG) so it has sold really well for game of its type, surprised if console port(s) aren't coming.
