Finally proof that the PS4 pro is more powerful than the Series X.

this is legit a bummer because I was planning on getting it on XSX despite having a PS5

I know everyone is looking at the XSX specs, rightfully, but the Series S doing 1440P and 60 FPS is pretty darn good.

Almost sounds like the SX and SS versions are going to be the same and they didn't bother with differentiating the two.

People are setting themselves up.

It says "Up to" which to me means that this is the max the game support, but not that it does it at the same time. So it might have a mode that is 4k but not 60fps and a mode that is 60fps, but not 4k.

They really don't detail if there are any different modes.

If the PS5 can do 4K up to 60 so can the X.

Yeah, Elden Ring used dynamic resolution scaling for the performance mode, looking at the DF article, 4K was the peak and above 1440p was the lowest recorded.

Also XSX is obviously a typo.

I would figure it meant dynamic resolution (and framerate obviously). So something like PS5 will probably be more like 1440p60 or 1800p60, just with the ability to spike higher.

up to 60 fps on the ps5 at 4k? I'm going to assume during heavy combat situations/boss fights it'll drop to the 40s then with a few enemies on screen it'll stay close to 60. Even though I'm getting this on the PC it'll be cool if I was wrong and it's always near 60 in all situations.

I have it pre-ordered digitally on PS5. Depending on if the XSX specs is not a typo, I made the right choice.
