So I'm watching him talk about all of his biggest roles....

Arnold Schwarzenegger Breaks Down His Most Iconic Characters | GQ

Arnold Schwarzenegger breaks down his most iconic characters, including his roles in 'The Terminator,' 'The Terminator 2: Judgement Day,' 'Predator,' 'Batman...

And every single time a movie comes up, first he gives a little background on how the movie happened, that time in his life, etc. Then he just jumps into breaking down the plot points like it's this incredible thing he was seeing for the first time. It's honestly loveable. Him breaking down T2 as a robot hanging out with a kid is amazing. The way he talks up Jingle All The Way ("there was action there, but very comedic action, and very touching also") is heartwarming. Like a kid going on and on about his favorite movies.

I just love listening to this guy. Just charming.

Yes yes we all know he's a republican, we know.

Two of the best alternate audio tracks on DVD/BluRay are his Conan track with John Milius and the Big Trouble in Little China track with John Carpenter and Kurt Russell.

You can tell he gets wasted and has the time of his life reminiscing during commentary tracks.

I wish more people talked about movies that way.

When talking about a movie, I don't really care about people's overall feelings and criticisms (and especially how you would score a movie if you were an actual critic that people read, which you are not), I just want give the Chris Farley Show-style "That part was AWESOME!".

I watched one with Harrison Ford that was linked in the thread for the recent Indy trailer and it was 20 minutes of him going through each movie and dryly saying, "so-and-so sent me a script, I read it, I liked it, so I did the movie, and I had a good time."
Like, there is actually some good and interesting stuff in there, but most of it is that.

One of the first comments on the video was "this was twenty minutes of Harrison Ford being unimpressed by his own career."

Some people are just like that, like Tarantino is quoted as saying he loves his own movies but apparently he can be a pretty hard person to meet or have dinner with because -all- he wants to talk about is basically movies and movie making and movie trivia, becoming extremely disengaged if you try to expand the conversation into anything else.

As far as artists go, I veer closer to Ford when it comes making art. I love the result and the process but Im terrible and boring when I talk about it.

He's a traditional fiscal Republican, which almost doesn't exist anymore.

He decided he was a Republican after moving to America from Austria (where he disliked the socialist politics) and hearing Nixon speak.

I finally arrived here in 1968. What a special day it was. I remember I arrived here with empty pockets but full of dreams, full of determination, full of desire. The presidential campaign was in full swing. I remember watching the Nixon–Humphrey presidential race on TV. A friend of mine who spoke German and English translated for me. I heard Humphrey saying things that sounded like socialism, which I had just left. But then I heard Nixon speak. He was talking about free enterprise, getting the government off your back, lowering the taxes and strengthening the military. Listening to Nixon speak sounded more like a breath of fresh air. I said to my friend, I said, "What party is he?" My friend said, "He's a Republican." I said, "Then I am a Republican." And I have been a Republican ever since.[30]

It's really not uncommon with immigrants. Things are obviously different now, but people who leave oppressive or dysfunctional governments tend to not want to see strong central government where they go.
