Keep in mind that Steam still didn't reached daily peak and that actual number of concurrent players for Odyssey right now is 47K.

I can't give you numbers, but afaik it sold veryy well. If you reference on concurrent players, that is normal. The game is a year old and the sequel just released.

All time peak for Origins was decent. It was actually the highest peak for AC game, only beaten today with Odyssey.
FC5 for example has 92k for all time peak, seems low to me.They are not low, if you exclude uPlay numbers, we don't have complete data to judge.
Sure, you can use Witcher 3 then with the same number.
Read my first post for the point, I'm not gonna go back and forth with this.Yes and so? What's the point? I said it earlier: "WE DON'T HAVE COMPLETE DATA".
The peak might be 100k or 80k or 60k if you have uPlay numbers, we don't know.

The FC 3 to 4 drop is crazy, I wonder if 5 can reach that high again. But he's only comparing Steam data with Steam data.
Before old Steamspy shutdown the number of Steam copies were (up to 10th Apr):
- Origins: 743,600 ±26,316
- FC5: 764,324 ±26,680 (Note: Released March 27th)
Here's the other entries:
- FC4: 1,190,005 ±33,277
- Primal: 478,586 ±21,118
- FC3: 3,297,686 ±55,280
- AC Syndicate: 497,359 ±21,528
- AC Unity: 656,562 ±24,730
But yes, apparently Uplay share is bigger at least at launch period.
Well, I mean, obviously the game isn't going to do as well as Witcher 3 did on PC. But that doesn't mean that it's low.
I think they are referring to filling a (apparently great) $60 game with mobile-like microtransactions and premium currency crap.
Damn, is Odyssey really that great? I loved Origins, but I'm a little burnt out and was going to wait for the AC3 remaster.

Origins had double the launch numbers of Syndicate. Remember that people don't just buy Ubi games on steam, there's also places like Uplay.
People keep mentioning UPlay but do we know how big of a share they have there? I imagine the big majority will be on Steam if it's availabe there.Origins had double the launch numbers of Syndicate. Remember that people don't just buy Ubi games on steam, there's also places like Uplay.
Not really. There's UPlay exclusive 20% off for most, if not every, Ubisoft game.People keep mentioning UPlay but do we know how big of a share they have there? I imagine the big majority will be on Steam if it's availabe there.
The 20% discount is a really big incentive to buy it on UplayPeople keep mentioning UPlay but do we know how big of a share they have there? I imagine the big majority will be on Steam if it's availabe there.

An RPG having an endgame where it takes longer to lvl up isn't a developer trying to make players pay for something that targets a small minority of the player base. Are me and Nome corporate cheerleaders for explaining how these things work?It is when the game hamstrings players not willing to pay up to avoid the grind designed to make the game as tedious as possible if they don't.

You carry on being a corporate cheerleader though.
