I ran the beta on GTX 660 2GB and Phenom 965 3,4 Ghz and it ran at about 20 frames on lowest settings at 1080p with ~50% resolution scale. I dont trust these minimum requirements.

Yes, because they perform so similarly. I don't know why publishers keep putting FX chips in requirement settings. It should be Ryzen 5 1600 and Intel 6600k.

I still have a fear that my 1070 wont be able to push higher frames. I was able to swap my i5 for an i7 for just $100, so I should hopefully see benefit from that, especially since the beta didn't run all that well for me.

Core clock is important. So if you can OC the cpu you can push your 1070 even more.

Only me who can't see the specs in OP?

The image is hosted on Twitter, which may be blocked at your end. I'll rehost it on Imgur and update the URL.

Edit: Done.

Edit edit:
Massive framerate hit, most people will disable it, some will keep it. Just like it is/was with Gameworks.

Oh, I don't doubt the reflections won't come cheap. I'm just curious how the cards will fare as this is going to be the first time RTX has been benchmarked in a game.

Looks like DICE might get me to get the game at launch after all (brb looking into origin premier).

Just my curiosity on how ray tracing runs on my 2080 Ti alone is enough for me to pay at least $15.

I want developers to list out what performance you can expect on these specs. I have almost the exact same minimum specs and was able to do 1080p medium on the Beta very nicely.

Seems like everyone has their own definition of what minimum should be.

i really wish devs would stop with the whole "minimum" and "recommended" shit. like, what will that get me? is minimum specs for 1080p/60? what will recommended specs get me? 1440p60?

my 6600k+1070 was getting around 60fps at 1440p during the alpha and closed beta. id really like to push for more as well. ill just wait and see what kind of optimizations were made for launch.

Min is usually 720p/60. Recommended 1080/60.

For those that played the beta, how does it run compared to BF1?
Beta is always abit different offcourse. With optimization and no launch drivers. But DICE said the requirements are the same as BF1 abit and you should expect the same performance. If BF1 ran fine it wont be much different.

I'll be real curious to see how DXR scales with CPU more than with GPU frankly.

What am I looking at in terms of performance with:

Ryzen 5 2600
16GB RAM
GTX 960

I know the GPU isn't great but I don't mind playing on low/medium settings, I'm more concerned with how many FPS I could get.

Beta ran at a nearly locked 60 for me when maxed out at 1440 with a 1080, i7 6700k, and 16 gigs of ram. I'm in no real rush to upgrade to any rtx cards, and the beta even without raytracing had more than enough visual candy to keep me happy.

I think you'll be pretty happy. :)

Using a 2080 Ti at work, it's really nice to play with that one. :D

Can you tell us anything about how that 2080 Ti performs with ray tracing enabled?

I understand if you can't talk about it yet tho.

I would be playing this on a i7 8700k and 2080 Ti on a 4k monitor if it actually launches with ray tracing support.

Well my GTX 980 seems to be hanging in there alright, but my i5-4690K is starting to be too low for minimum specs on games. I know it will still run just fine, I can run BF1 with no issues. But it's just weird not seeing my processor meet what the developers consider minimum specs anymore.

I have:

i5 3570K (3.8GHz max, can't OC)
AMD 280X
8GB RAM

Can I expect solid 60FPS at 1280x800? (all minimum and hopefully with a tricky .cfg)

Thanks.

The 970 and 1060 perform similarly, but the former's 4GB VRAM may be an issue as far as higher texture quality settings are concerned.
its similar to the 1060, I have a 970 and the alpha ran fine all things considered. Obviously I wasn't maxing out the graphics or anything.

The 6gb version of the 1060 is still about 20% faster, as it's on par with a 980, but he'll be fine. I wouldn't put much stock in any of these requirements anyway. They often make no sense.

your CPU is close to a match to the recommended CPU (1300x)
your GPU has a big advantage compared to the minimum GPU, you should be fine at 1080P medium I would think

Hope my 1700X can keep pace with my RTX 2080 at 1440p, but we'll see.

Thank goodness for G-Sync.

edit: nvm, 1300x is 4 threads.

Doesn't seem to be too different from BF1 specs, just hoping this one doesn't crash on 7xx series cards though. Definitely not getting this on release.
