Looks promising but then again does Beyond Good & Evil 2 need to be THAT BIG?

Either ways I'm hyped and looking forward to more.

Eh, looks like it has nothing to do with the original Beyond Good and Evil I loved, but I guess we've seen so little of it so far.

Yeah, it's pretty, but I need to see the core gameplay loops before I get excited. I'm terrified it will just become Beyond FarCry and Assassins Creed 2: Electric Open World Pointless Side Mission Boogaloo

The gameplay from the Twitch stream today plus a few extra seconds of exploration footage.

Other tidbits from the stream.

- The size of the team has expanded to 120 people and growing, but they're also getting help from multiple Ubisoft studios globally. Sounds like they're really pushing to get this game out within the next 2 years.
- They showed a timeline, explaining how the present got to BGE2 time period.
- There are other systems and you'll get to learn some of what happened to them, but you won't explore them.
- They've narrowed the scope of this game quite a bit, focusing only on System 3 and a few planets in a single solar system. Ancel specifically said they didn't want millions of planets, but that each planet had its own story.
- You can play evil if you want.
- The camera from BGE1 is back as a "spyglass". You take pictures with it but its also capable of other things.

That's just off memory.

I think they are loosing us with all these promises and tech/pre-alpha presentations.
They should stop and show the real game when it's ready for true.

God the potential for this baby is so great if they give them a proper dev budget(65mil+), time(5years+), and platform(next-gen consoles/PC).
The scope of this and quality of characters should make for a magical game but only if given everything, by all involved. Continue developing and bring it out next gen when it's truly ready. I will be waiting, patiently.

I MUCH prefer to see something very early than to be bamboozled again like a No man's sky.
I love seeing development process

While it looks cool, this isn't really what I wanted out of a BG&E sequel so I can't help but be disappointed.
