I'll be playing Moze first because of the mech but I don't think she'll be good for solo play so I may switch to FL4K early on.

I've been waiting for this, ever since 2012, heck 2014 too, I loved TPS just as well.
Gonna be hard not spoiling myself, some of the well known Borderlands streamers got early access to the full game, starting 9 AM by German time, or 2PM CST for the US folks. God, I want to watch that... but also don't want to. Rough waiting ahead.

Haha, same boat. I clicked Moze for my poll vote but then immediately felt....er no maybe Zane..or FL4K..or Amara.. Ahh, def gonna need to run alts sooner than later.
Awesome OT! Already figured I would be playing Zane since day one and that hasn't changed, though I will admit that FL4K looks like good fun too. It's gonna be a fun weekend!
I love shlooters...but the art style, dodgy reviews setup, and the adventures of Mr magic's ping pong porn parties, mean it's a hard pass from me.....

Never played the first two games. Kind of want to get this for some split screen co-op with the GF.

Should be, Borderlands is usually a blast with local co-op.
That's the thought. It's been so long since I played good ol local co-op. Most games I buy these days I don't usually get my money's worth but fuck it, what's another $60.
I'm picking my copy up at 9PM on the Thursday, gonna do a bit of shopping and then swing by and grab it. I'm not at work on the Friday, so I'll gather the munchies and settle in for a night of looting.

Damn good show on the OP mate! That said I can't wait for this game. I went back and played through 2 just last week and it still makes me laugh when it probably shouldn't. But f'it I don't care!
I love me a good pet class, so I'm going FL4K for my solo run. Probably going Amara for my coop though.
Not sure if I get the game, but messed around with CC a bit. I wonder how viable this would be?

Same here, mainly because none of the character designs appeal to me. In BL1 Lilith was an easy choice for me and in BL2 I zoned straight in on Zero... But that hasn't happened here, will probably end up going with Moze though.
This is the most disconnected I've felt from the characters. In previous games I felt like I easily gravitated towards one or two people and their playstyle. In BL1 it was mordacai and Roland. In BL2 it was Maya and Axton. In TPS it was handsome jack. Here I just feel kind of meh about all them.
Moze and her mech don't interest me at all. Zane feels a bit like handsome jack from TPS with the whole clone thing. Amara seems more upclose and in your phase although one of her skills seems to mirror that of Maya's phaselock which sort of has me interested. So I feel a bit shoehorned into going with Fl4k especially as a solo player.
Does anyone know if there's a chance that there will be content that'll be released that'll fall outside of the season pass later down the line?

Man, they balanced the skill trees across characters so much better. I just went through them again with the intention of finding the character to run to be a support-ish class build when I play co-op with my friends. Moze is the only one who doesn't really have a traditional support build to run.
Amara - she can give some group heal with converting action skill damage to health. She also has a lot of debuff and CC stuff
Zane - his shield can heal and buff, as well as debuff
FL4K - they can share their own health regen with allies and run a build that has a ton of health regen options to constantly create regen for everyone.
Moze - nothing really to share with allies other than the manned turret. Wonder if you share any shield with iron bear when on the turret.
