The Cure's A Letter To Elise fits the bill a bit I guess, even if a bit somber. Taking inspiration from Franz Kafka's Letters to Felice, a woman Kafka courted and (I believe) was engaged to before breaking it off out of concern that it would get in the way of his writing. The song feels like the end of a relationship and absolutely wrecks me.

It really spoke to me at a certain time in my life, in a painful way.
