If you cannot find anyone to do this, I use Xoom to send money from my U.S. bank account to my partner's Canadian bank account. You can send directly to a bank as long as you have the account number, etc. I'd assume that would work?I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask so I'm going to cross-post this to a couple different threads.
I'm looking for help with a Christmas present if there is a kind soul in Japan who can do me a huge favor.
I'm trying to purchase a small canvas bag from the company Friendshill as a gift for my wife.

I contacted the company to see if there is a way to purchase it from America. They have been really helpful. They will sell me the bag for 3100 yen including the bank fee. They need me to pay via bank remittance.
These are the instructions from the company representative:
I don't believe my American bank can remit or send the funds to a Japanese bank.
I know it's a lot to ask, but I was hoping there's someone here who has a Japanese bank account and can send the funds for me. I would PayPal this person the money first.
They would have the money from me before completing the transaction to Friendshill, so there would be no risk to them. I'd be happy to pay someone for their time for this. I would hope it would be an easy and quick process. Is there anyone here who might be able to help me?
If it means anything, I have Platinum buyer/seller feedback (100% positive) in this Buy/Sell/Trade thread and I could send my eBay positive feedback profile to you, too.
Thanks for reading this and considering assisting me. Happy holidays, all.

Wise is another company Japanese companies like to use for cross country transfers, I've used them to pay suppliers in China and Japan and they offer really good exchange rates + are very quick to process the transfer. Japanese banks charge crazy fees for international transfers and it can vary as they said. Also they don't seem to be accounting for the shipping cost (unless its in the item cost in which case you got a good deal).I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask so I'm going to cross-post this to a couple different threads.

I'd also make sure they're sending via courier(fedex/dhl/ups), ems or airmail or it won't arrive in time. Some of these shipping methods might not be available as they've been ymmv with availability depending on country since March 2020(covid panic started).
Just use a proxy like zenmarket if you're not in a rush in the future. If you want it processed fast I'd recommend the proxy vvjapan .
So the $3 fee is all they will charge you AND they'll give you a better rate than your bank would(unless your banks giving you the interbank rate which most don't).I really appreciate all of this info. They are sending via EMS. It looks like Wise is dirt cheap. Am I understanding correctly that they just make a wire transfer for you and charge these super low fees compared to banks? It's showing me like $3 in fees for sending like $41 USD. Are there fees to the end user too?
You know about the 150 post rule, but think it's okay to ignore it? If everyone did that, the thread would be a clusterfuck.I know you're supposed to wait 100 posts (or something like that) before posting again, but I just got an extra PS4/PS5 key for Battlefield Ultimate Edition that I'm selling for $50 if anyone's interested!

It's not that seriousThen edit your listing, and wait for 150 posts to pass.
You have a key, and you want to make a few bucks. Most people in here do.
Don't play good samaritan.
Doesn't mean he can ignore the rules the rest of us follows.
The posts read:
Yeah still not something to get so worked up overThe posts read:
"hey guys I know there is a rule but here is me breaking it"
"I mean why aren't you making an exception for me, come on I want to sell fast"
One breaks the rules, then the next does, and then it just snowballs.
Just... follow the rules
It's just one rule broken, guys. I mean, cmon.
