Lately, Kamiya has been talking a lot about Capcom. Whether it's teases on his instagram of seeing their office, visiting staff of RE2make (I'm willing to bet he gets a special thanks credit at this point), or just talking about them in general on twitter. Kamiya has been pretty positive on Capcom. Which makes sense. Back in 2015 he mention ed in an interview with metro.co.uk that "if there is an opportunity to work together(capcom), that would be something I would proactively lean towards to see what they have in mind.". As of right now I would say things are pretty chummy between the two. Even the Division 1 Capcom Twitter tweeted out this image
Of course, the other half of this question would be "Does capcom even want to work with platinum?". Capcom's use of third-party developers on their own IPs hasn't really been a thing since Strider back in 2014 (Not counting of course porting studios or collab efforts like SFV, etc). But at this point I'd say why wouldn't they? They've made a big point about bringing back older IPs. In addition to that, we currently have next to no idea what is in the pipeline for the capcom catalog outside of a few RE titles, MonHun Support, MM11, and DMCV. I'd say there is plenty of room for Platinum to join in on the party and help with a Capcom IP revival. So with that out of the way, i'd say the most likely prospects are
Potential Capcom Projects for Platinum/Kamiya
So does all of this sound too far-fetched? Or do you think there's a chance these pieces might actually be falling in place like I described? It could be nothing, but I think it's fun to think of the possibility of these two companies working together. Especially considering their history with one another.

Potential Capcom Projects for Platinum/Kamiya
- Dino Crisis (Kamiya wanted to work on this more than RE2)
- Okami (Was recently ported to current gen)
- Viewtiful Joe (Character has had a lot of recent small appearances)
- Resident Evil Spin-off (IP is big enough to support basically anything)
