explain graham crackers
The name is a holdover. They weren't originally sweet.
Of course filling isn't necessary to deem the snack a "cookie", but don't you think the chocolate parts are awfully thin for a "cookie"?No, each half is a cookie on its own
Filling isn't a requirement for being a cookie
The graham cracker refutes this.
No, each half is a cookie on its own
Filling isn't a requirement for being a cookie
That really has nothing to do with what makes something a cookie or thin mints wouldn't be considered cookies eitherOf course filling isn't necessary to deem the snack a "cookie", but don't you think the chocolate parts are awfully thin for a "cookie"?
Religious tomfoolery.
An interesting thing that a friend brought up was this:Are these crackers before you put ice cream between them?
They start as cookies, then when you put the filling in it's a sandwich cookie.
No, thin cookies are a thing tooOf course filling isn't necessary to deem the snack a "cookie", but don't you think the chocolate parts are awfully thin for a "cookie"?.
this giant taco tastes like Italy
Proper noun that was misused.
It's a vegetable apparently.
Are these crackers before you put ice cream between them?
They start as cookies, then when you put the filling in it's a sandwich cookie.
I brought the following up as well: dough isn't a pizza. Pepperoni isn't a pizza, marinara sauce isn't, cheese isn't, etc.
The most logically sound definition so far. From the internet
"A cookie's dough is higher in shortening and sugar; and contains less flour. The cracker's dough is flour, some shortening and sugar, and some flavors and dough conditioners"
So no
gluten free crackers would like to have a word with you
gtfo. transitive law of equality does not apply here.I brought the following up as well: dough isn't a pizza. Pepperoni isn't a pizza, marinara sauce isn't, cheese isn't, etc.
It's only a pizza when you combine those into one. Therefor, the Oreo is only a cookie when you combine the 2/3 cracker portions with the 1/3 filling portion.
I don't really talk with those guys.
What the hell kind of Chicago-NY hybrid is this!?I think pizza is pie until you slice it then it becomes nachos.
So you can cheat or "lifehack" a pack of Oreos by separating the pieces to create double the amount of cookies, for the same price? Doesn't seem right to me. You have to consider them crackers just so people can't pull some BS like that.Oreos are described as a sandwich cookie so no. They would just be 2 cookies.
At that point, I believe I've transformed it into a cracker, much like how if I eat it, I'm turning it into poop. People's tongues can turn stuff into other things, basically. They're still cookies. If you had a frosted cookie and licked off the frosting, it's still a cookie.
It depends on the filling. I think it's a cookie if you use a sweet filling, but a savory "mini sandwich" if you use a salty or spicy filling.
