Great game, absolutely recommended. It and Xenoblade X were the highlights of the Wii U, and it's really worth a go if you like slightly puzzly fun and haven't experienced it before!
This is the most Era thing I've ever read, hilarious! There were no resolution issues. People mistook heat haze as a drop in resolution.
There's four new levels based on Odyssey's kingdoms, and that's about it. If you beat the game on Wii U there probably isn't much to entice you to come back unless you're looking for a replay. Is it worth picking this up if I already completed the Wii U game? How much new content is there?
Does this game require much use of the touchscreen? If it's there, is it optional or mandatory?Loved it but hated playing on the gamepad so i gave up - will gladly get it on a much better system

When playing docked, the game uses a pointer in place of the touch screen. For portable Switch and 3DS, it uses normal touch controls.Does this game require much use of the touchscreen? If it's there, is it optional or mandatory?
Thanks, that's disappointing. This game absolutely needs a sequel, or some generous DLC at least. There's four new levels based on Odyssey's kingdoms, and that's about it. If you beat the game on Wii U there probably isn't much to entice you to come back unless you're looking for a replay.
Digital Foundry did an evaluation of the demo if you're interested in what they thought about the resolution.Oh really? I didn't see it for myself just read about it. Thanks.
Round it up to a 9. Now you're happy and so are people who like more nuanced scores. :)8.7? *smacks forehead*
Nothing quite like arbitrarily assigning a decimal value to a $40 port of a four year-old Wii U game. It's just silly.
They are NOT joking or trolling, Digital Foundry found the same.
The 3D world levels were replaced by the Odyssey levels. It's not a huge omission since the Odyssey levels are properly designed Captain Toad levels rather than the weird ported levels, but it is still a cut.
I'm in the same boat. I was thinking August, but I'm already getting Wasteland 2, Monster Hunter Generations, Dead Cells, Cosmically Star Heroine, Titan Quest and Code of Princess EX...and my retail copy of De Blob is in the mail.I might get this later down the line. If only this thing wasn't coming out the say day as Octopath, I'd buy it.
Wasn't a huge fan of the demo. I found having to constantly rotate the view annoying.

That's the Wii U game.OpenCritic page. 82/100 currently, unlikely to change much with 77 reviews already.
Don't have a WiiU and was gonna get this regardless of reviews, but I'm glad it's getting positive reception.
I think he means posters assuming the worst (lowered resolution) when it's something else (haze effect) is an "era" thingThey are NOT joking or trolling, Digital Foundry found the same.
That's for the Wii U version, but the Switch version will be around the same score anyways.OpenCritic page. 82/100 currently, unlikely to change much with 77 reviews already.
