Caught my coworker buttering her Pop-Tarts

Anyone else ever seen this phenomenon? I've never once even considered putting butter on a hot Pop-Tart. She said it was life changing. I'm not gonna do it. Have you seen this in the wild? Do you do it yourself? Who told you how to do it and why?

I think it's absolutely weird, but she said it wasn't.

It is excellent. Especially on non-frosted ones. They tend to be too dry (not enough jam inside) so butter adds moisture.

A little butter on an unfrosted brown sugar pop tart IS amazing.

That's what I said. She laughed the laughter of embarrassment and scampered off pretty quick.

Never in my life had I seen someone butter pizza like it were dry toast until that moment. May I never see it again.

My mother did it that way, so that's how I ate them as a child. She was from West Virginia, and lived in Indiana at the time, if that helps locate the phenomenon. And it certainly predated Family Guy. I'm more an English muffin eater than a Pop tart eater, now that I have the freedom to choose my breakfast.

Unfrosted is a different situation—it's begging for more flavor as is. Frosted pop tarts are already a guaranteed cannon ball through your intestinal tract.
