Continuity too, but we all know if they really wanted a celebrity Tails nothing would have stopped them from dismissing his quick cameo in Sonic 1.
I honestly thought she was just going to be a "placeholder" voice for the character in the film continuity, but I'm happy to see her stick around.
All they need to do now is hint a little Super Sonic and this could very well be the perfect movie.
I'm happy a career VA gets to retain their role for a character who will probably play a large part in the sequel, but the Sonic movies still recast Knuckles and Sonic himself.
I kinda don't like that. It's kinda off-putting to have one of the characters randomly have the voice from the games while everyone else is different. Especially when it's not the main character. Hell, it's not like she's the only voice Tails has ever had, like she's definitely 100% replaceable. So, I don't really understand the need to keep the Tails VA if you're already changing Sonic and Knuckles.
Anyone else remember the rumors that he played Tails in SA1? Some fans were super insistent on that.
Celebrities still pull viewers so I understand why they get them but..
Usually there's a set budget for each aspect of a production, and they likely hit it.
