Just uploaded Anna's teaser for the upcoming series of Dev Diaries which will be published on the Control YouTube channel.
Will have more teasers published soon ;)
So much looking forward to Control, one of the highlights of E3.
I noticed that too. Kinda spooky.I like how save for one all of those people have their hands in pretty much the same position in the thumbnails.
Boom! Dev Diary 2! This time the awesome folks at Remedy talk about the gameplay approach!
Haha ok that's greatIt was intentional :P When we generated the thumbnails our creative guys here did this on purpose! :D
oh you think THAT'S weird?I like how save for one all of those people have their hands in pretty much the same position in the thumbnails.
oh you think THAT'S weird?
they're perfect for holding cats

nah, I linked the credit, one of our fansites did it
hey, thanks! story is super important to us, so it's great that you're a fan.> "Introducing the gameplay"
> 90% of the video is about storytelling
Remedy, I'm not worried about storytelling, I know ya'all are some of the best in the business at it. Kind of just want to learn more about the gameplay. This video didn't really say anything that we didn't already know from E3.
oh it will - we'll be talking about that in future dev diaries!I'm also slightly concerned about the world; everything shown so far looks same-same. I hope the building/world will have some variety.
I think the fact that they described it as Metroidvania like really got me interested in this game, as opposed to say Quantum Break. With this sort of surreal world that they're building, and the movement abilities and powers, I think there's potential for the level design to be top notch.I love that they are moving to less linear level design and more environmental storytelling. The best way to tackle stories in games for me.

Do we know if this game is large compared to their other games? It seems smaller in scope than Quantum Break and Alan Wake.If Remedy can actually announce a large game like this one year and release it the next, I will be very impressed. I normally expect civilizations to rise and fall during the time Remedy announces a game and the time I can actually play it.

Yeah it could be a good thing. It feels like the emphasis is more on game systems and mechanics rather than story. It does seems to be of a smaller scale. I think this building might be the only place we visit. And it might be a rather short game. But I kinda like that.
hahaha scp with guns! that made me laugh :DI loved that Remedy came out and talked about how this game is heavily influenced by SCP because let's be frank, this is SCP with guns.
oh MOOD, hahaha. but thanks for the kind words anyway!I wish I could watch those dev diaries, but I have a strict rule of doing a media blackout for games that I am super hyped for. I do appreciate the idea of these and Remedy giving insight in that type of format.
Yeah, I suppose it's not quite as large as the other big ones. I was mainly referring to it being a full $60 game, as opposed to some small, budget title.Do we know if this game is large compared to their other games? It seems smaller in scope than Quantum Break and Alan Wake.
Oh so it is a full $60 dollar game. Well then it's large enough. LOLYeah, I suppose it's not quite as large as the other big ones. I was mainly referring to it being a full $60 game, as opposed to some small, budget title.
I mean, Quantum Break was like 6-7 hours at most not counting the episodesDo we know if this game is large compared to their other games? It seems smaller in scope than Quantum Break and Alan Wake.
he does! he tweeted about it at e3 saying it was his favourite, and later he came to see the demo and chat a little with sam
Length of actual gameplay is not indicative of scale and scope. At least that's what I interpreted what "large" meant.I mean, Quantum Break was like 6-7 hours at most not counting the episodes
I can see Control actually being longer. The devs even mentioned there will be side missions in this for example.
Those are some awesome screenshots! So, do these 4K wallpaper mean we're getting the game in 4K on consoles? ;-)Here are some 4K wallpapers for all of you lovely people:
