Its a good political test:
http://www.politiscales.net/

Who are we?

PolitiScale is a political test using 8 ideological values to help you know approximately where you belong to in the political field, or simply to share your profile with your friends. this internet website is an initiative of "Radicalisé·e·s sur Internet" which is freely inspired by 8values.

My result:
Socialism · Humanity · Equality
Constructivism: 83%
Rehabilitive justice: 74%
Progressism: 86%
Internationalism: 86%
Communism: 100%
Regulationnism: 93%
Ecology:43%
Revolution: 69%

http://www.politiscales.net/en_US/r...1=5&s0=86&c1=7&c0=83&femi=81&vega=67&anar=100

So where you are in the political field?

Now does this match how I would classify myself...

Constructivism (social) vs essentialism (biological)
I am definitely a constructivist, 64% seems a bit low though, not sure what answer I gave to contradicted this

Rehabilitative vs punitive
I definitely believe in rehabilitative justice, but I do still punishment is one of the purposes which explains the scale

Progressive vs conservative
Yes, nothing more needs to be said

Internationalism vs Nationalism
Yes

Capitalism vs communism
Not a fan of either of those extremes so the balance here makes sense

Regulation vs laissez faire
Yes, regulate, regulate everything!

Ecology vs productivism
I would say my belief is that Ecology should be higher

Revolution vs reform
Admittedly not that confident on what this even entails

Any questions about immigrants in this poll are not worded properly enough. It just labels them as "foreigners" when I wish it would be more specific with legal and illegal foreigners since my answer would have changed depending on that. I just answered neutral on those questions.

fancy wording and lots of the questions are annoying.

this test kind of makes me think that political tests are losing any meaning they once had.

I mean if you can recognize the slogan or the sentiment behind it great. but it feels more Facebook than anything else.

This test seems poorly designed, with a lot of leading questions. And a fair few have really unnecessarily obtuse wording.

Results did not surprise me.

Though its still a bit too conservative from when I was younger. I guess the adage is true as you age blah blah.

before continuing, i want to be sure about something, it say "sexual orientation is a social construct"

i'm not sure what does that mean, english is not my main language! To me Sexual orientation is not a choice, you're born gay, straight, and so on... so i guess i should disagree with the statement?

Yes. I'm guessing it's a Constructivism versus Naturalism question, but I think they're using the term Constructivism wrong? I get that they mean that most of what defines people is "socially constructed", but Constructivism is a totally different thing.

It means that the 'male' and 'female' genders are assigned by social values and not at birth. This became a big issue when Prince William and Kate had their first baby. A lot of people weren't happy that they "assigned" him a boy at birth.

I like the intent of having more axes and nuance in terms of political leanings, but the questions really could be better worded. Some of them are just plain confusing without context.

I got like 48 questions in and bailed. I hate to admit it, but there were some questions that I didn't even know what the hell they were asking because I wasn't familiar with the terminology. I'm probably on a list of Nazi sympathizers now because I just randomly agreed or disagreed.

I disagreed with that one, because sexual orientation is absolutely a real thing that it not chosen by the individual. But I have a feeling that it contributed to my "essentialism" score.

Admittedly I answered neutrally for a few questions I wasn't confident about understanding. Also I'd be interested in what a test like this would look like if it assumed I didn't necessarily live in a market economy.

Socialism - Justice - Revolution

...Yeah, that sounds about right. The last decade has, admittedly, radicalized myself to the point of Revolutionism. If I went back in time to speak to my younger self, that Reformism would have been much larger

Yeah, some of the questions are super weird. What about "Dismissals of employees should be forbidden except if it is justified." - who supports unjustified termination of employees? I mean-- that makes no sense.

EDIT:
And my results:
sh6vJmN.png

I'd say it's fairly accurate except for ecology where it's way off because the questions were too vague (no, I don't think we should just stop using fossil fuels because that's stupid, but that doesn't mean I think it's a good thing).

"We need to establish a monarchy to federate the people and preserve our sovereignty."

I chuckled at this one.

Those questions are so British that I can't make sense of some of the phrasing.

I'm assuming that the GMO question is part of the Ecology-Productivism slider which I feel is a false dichotomy, but in general I don't think there's any huge discrepancies between the results and my politics.

Don't think my results are really worth sharing, too many neutral/don't know answers. Some questions I didn't understand and some issues I felt I don't know enough to have an opinion or the questions weren't specific enough.

Yeah some strange questions, like:

"Space colonization is a good solution for supplying the lack of raw material on Earth (iron, rare metals, fuel...)"

Uh, maybe? Is it economically feasible? Am I supposed to know the opportunity cost breakdown of space mining?

I will be fair and say there are questions I answered neutral because I don't think I have the proper knowledge or wasn't sure about the wording or I think it depends

though seems about right

is that kind of questions I wasn't really sure of because I didn't know how economically feasible it is or if it's efficient use of resources
