Ps4 will easily be over 100million sold by the time production ends.
Switch I'm not so sure. Hell 3ds isn't close to 100 million sold.

I don't understand this obsession for Sony having to answer to everything in the gaming space.
Your talking literally 2 months. The PS4 has had sustain success over years with its biggest exclusives arguably coming in the next 2 years.
Second one is ugly and lacks the OLED screen thoI have both and the second version is far superior in every way :D
Sure, you need the "server" but both can be bought for like 299$ total now.

After the way the Vita was handled, any portable system from Sony will be a hard sell personally.
You think the Switch is just going to stop selling?Your talking literally 2 months. The PS4 has had sustain success over years with its biggest exclusives arguably coming in the next 2 years.
If it keeps a sustained lineup of games it will.No but I don't know if it can sustain success like the PS4.
Even the Wii dropped off after a few years and the 3ds didn't get to 100 million.
What question is Sony being asked by Nintendo that they would consider blowing millions in R&D for a measly portable?
No thanks, portability is Nintendo's strong point. Two Ls were enough to teach Sony that
Let Nintendo make the portable consoles and Sony should continue focusing on VR and mid-higher end consoles.
Let's not act like people didn't buy the PSP to play SNES/PS1 games and pirated PSP games. LolToo young to remember the walkman, or even the 80million plus selling PSP which the 3DS wont outsell?
They sold a healthy amount of units but no one was buying the games. The PSP was not a 'L', and the Vita wouldn't have been either if Sony didn't do everything in its power to kill it in its second year.
I hate to burst your bubble but exclusives have little to do with the PS4's sale trajectory.Your talking literally 2 months. The PS4 has had sustain success over years with its biggest exclusives arguably coming in the next 2 years.
I'm confident Spider-Man and especially the last of us 2 will push sales. Hate to burst your bubbleI hate to burst your bubble but exclusives have little to do with the PS4's sale trajectory.
You'll be surprised how that's actually the case most of the time.I hate to burst your bubble but exclusives have little to do with the PS4's sale trajectory.
Sony's answer to nintendo is that they've sold almost 80M consoles in <5 years. why would they react to the switch?
In the same way ms and Sony tried to shoehorn motion controls into 360 and ps3, there has to be a team/ person looking into what it would take to have a hybrid ps5.
a portable in 2017 would still be putting out PS3 level graphics. they'd rather just tell you you can do remote play. it doest make logistical or even marketing sense to offer yet another console developers have to account for when you are trying to maximize your mainline console and a VR peripheral at the same time.I feel this hypothetical question keeps being brought up more from switch owners who love portability.
