Now I just need a PS6 Pro to get this running the way the devs intended…

Weird that it took them so long. Crytek didn't have any successful games since Crysis, right?

Wait...a day after the 3rd Anniversary of the Reboot of Metroid Prime 4...now Crytek are rebooting Metroid Prime 4?!

I still haven't played the third one because performance was garbage on those old consoles. I should probably get that remaster, but just the one of 3.

Didn't finish 3 (on ps3). Have to buy the remaster.

Crysis 1 was a lot of fun. Let's see what crytek do with this.

Obviously it will showcase the cryengine to the Max, I'm guessing to align with a brand spanking new iteration of their engine.

Meh, call me when they show gameplay. I am tired of these CGI and blog post announcements.

Only liked the first, the sequels are forgettable.
If I remember the suit is self aware with a dead guy inside right?

I feel like they going for the numbered sequel route is such a bad decision.
First because Crysis sequels never set the world on fire, Crysis 2 had a good reception even tho nowhere close to Crysis and Warhead and Crysis 3 had very mixed feelings.
Second because for those that never played Crysis 3 or even never played the Crysis IP this becomes a very strange entry point.
In my opinion they should have choosen a named title and work some kind of soft reboot in terms of story/narrative.
Still curious about what will they deliver tho.

If this is to live up to Crysis 1 in terms of technical breakthroughs... I guess the PC version must offer some serious RT & ML implementations. And in general some next-gen foliage interactions & destruction. Let's see if games have a reached a certain plateau with only diminishing returns (yes, I did play the Matrix UE5 demo).
In any case, will be exciting to see Crytek give it their very best for the year ~2023, to see where the roof is.

I hope it has literally zero story. Story in Crysis 2 and 3 was some of the worst insufferable shit I've ever seen.

Just give us a sandbox with things to shoot.

"join the journey" is going to be multiplayer isn't it? would make sense considering that hunt showdown probably saved crytek

When matter self-organizes into numerals, you know shit is getting real.

But seriously, yeah they want people to come and work on the game.
