Thanks for the tips. I'll try that strategy and see what happens. I have been sticking to the ground and being careful not to crush the cars (though I did once or twice), but I guess maybe an air offensive will work better.

I do wonder whether or not my loadout is sufficient. I have been rolling a machine gun and assault rifle with heat seeking missiles on my shoulder. The slow firing rate of the rifle is a pain, but it packs a reasonable punch.
I used dual Grim Reaper assault rifles for most of the story. Dual Silver Raven machine guns work well too, and are what I use most often. So the starting weapons are very much viable. Mixing and matching isn't often desirable due to differences in optimal range, though. Each gun has an optimal range where its damage is notably higher. For Grim Reapers, this is roughly 150 and for Silver Ravens it's roughly 100. You'll get a distance number for whatever you're locked onto generally to help gauge things. When you're at optimal range, the effects of the hits will also be larger and feedback in general will be stronger.

Really, a lot of the equipment in the game is more along the lines of being a side-grade than outright upgrades. Grim Reaper II and III boast higher damage and range than their predecessor, but have less max ammo and the increased range means more distance you have to maintain for optimal damage, for example. So things tend to be more situational for the mission or come down to what works/feels best to you.

Gotcha. I ran out of ammo during the first real boss fight. That was fun. lol

So how much content is there for the online part of the game? A friend and I are looking to get this and the online portion is enticing. I take it it's not the entire campaign you can coop? But is there a good amount to play and get stuck in to?

Online missions are just boss fights and fighting the other mech arsenal teams (so arena fights). There's over 20 or 30 for me so far but they are meant to be replayed to farm materials or parts.

Does anyone have a full list of the paint jobs and decals? I just hit A rank so I think I'm near the end stretch and would like to go back to collect the ones I missed after I complete the story.

I have all but most of the multiplayer camos. They're pretty much all obtained through factory development, which you'll end up doing for full completion.

Edit: I can't read apparently, decals are weird. So far it seems like there's 2-3 per map that can be scanned. I've found a few of those, I can't give you a comprehensive list by any means. Phrases and Kanji are sidegoal and main rewards. The Alphabet is through factory development. Roman Numerals is through map play amount, Some you get through multiplayer mission totals, and that's all I can give ya.

How do you scan graffiti? I've seen this mentioned since the first demo but never bothered to look up how to do it lol.

Man, I've fought Snatcher a bunch of times even past getting it to 100% and I still haven't got the blueprint that you need to actually craft the item. Am I doing something wrong or is that just random chance?

BTW, in case anyone else gets tripped up by this: You cannot scan things with a raised shield, the game will tell you "disabled" but not why. Press the fire button for the shield hand to lower the shield and it works.

Gotcha. I ran out of ammo during the first real boss fight. That was fun. lol

Make sure to aim for the weak points, they're frequently hidden behind armor plates you have to shoot off. Just shooting at the center of mass will take a ton of ammo but unloading twin MGs and a heatseeker missile pod into those weak points can chew through their HP in no time.

Where'd you see graffiti?

And moreover, what do you get for scanning it?
The graffiti are usually on floors or non-destructible areas of the environment, most oftenly on buildings. Scanning them allows you you to use them as decals on your mech as a neat little bonus for finding them.

So, how the hell do you beat the Rank C mission with the meteorites?! I think is impossible because of the amount there are, they usually appear too far from you to target them and the damn mission takes too long to be completed.

Certain head armor pieces have different lock-on distance values and crosshair sizes so maybe trying to use a head piece that gives you a better lock-on distance could help a bit more here, in combination with a Lock-on processor to further increase that distance. Using weapons that can make the most of that cooould help for that mission, If all else fails just use your mechs' inherent mobility and just do what you can :)

Though you can 'complete' the mission by only requiring one tower to survive, which is what I had to do

Usually I'd call you out for daring to call hairstyles pointless, but thanks to body modifications... well :(

Got past the train escort mission after two more tries. Couldn't take down the last of the three opposing arsenals, sadly.

I'm barely 5 missions in, and GODDAMN THIS SOUNDTRACK IS AWESOME

Junichi Nakatsuru is always a low-key goat of music, but man.... as a big nerd of the SoulCal and AceCom soundtracks, I am in fucking heaven. Every cutscene's BGM is hype!

Okay, is Blink the most counterproductive skill ever or what? I thought it would be cool to have an ability that teleports you quickly. THE PROBLEM is that is assigned to your movement stick and is triggered whenever you tap it twice quickly and considering that this is the kind of game where you need to do that constantly to find out the enemy or get out of the way, it means that you're unwillingly teleporting from one place to another and it can be pretty disorienting.

Is there a way to assign it to another button? Otherwise I will have to reset everything and say goodbye to all my progress.

Yup, heck I even recognise that formatting as my own when I did this to explain to others in a discord server what the difference is between the weapon variant designations (in simpler terms and not specific numbers/percentages), so I am glad to see it going around and still being useful for others at a cursory glance! Though in hindsight, I should have changed "bullet damage" to " 'ammo type' damage" because this also affects lasers, and I didnt account for weapons with splash damage at the time either - but sayng that, I think they get the same damage modifiers as the normal damage adjustments of the variants anyway :P

Cool. What's going on with homing missiles? As far as I know, they don't have an optimal range but I've noticed that their damage seem to fluctuate from hit to hit. Maybe I'm just seeing two numbers, one for direct hit and other for splash damage/explosion.

I am not entirely sure myself, it being direct amage and splash damage definitely feels like a plausible cause to me though honestly, its something I will definitely have to check more since I dont use those missiles enough to fully work that out (I usually use the Blitz drones as a distraction or the Rampage Hammer single lock rocket launcher that can help drain enemy STM) I'll have to look into it later!

I just picked one tower to protect. Only one needs to survive the onslaught.

As Unicorn said, you only need to protect one tower, also it only takes one rifle bullet to blow up a meteorite. If you have Wrath of God or Garuda 2, bring em, they do pretty well. When I did it, I ran out of ammo toward the end and was just swording ones that came close to the towers that were still up.

*chef kiss* I've pretty much spent a little bit more over 20 hours on the game so far with only a few more A rank missions left but man.....It's great having a good action mecha game again with Armored Core being MIA for however long.

I'm definitely gonna spend a bit more unlocking all the secret factory weapons and trying them out, but I'm mainly hoping they add in PvP soon(this year) because I that's the main thing I was excited for when heading into this game

Basically this is my current goty.

Oh wow I just keep making trash mechs. Didn't realize how much of a crutch those ez mode dual MG arms were. The DPS feels so broken in comparison lol.

Finally bought the full game.

Really been enjoying my time so far, there's a lot to do. First I'm developing Goliath parts then next thing I know I'm considering a lean quick build. I'll keep playing to see what speaks to me.

Decals seem to elude me. I've only been able to find 1 while out on missions.

I found graffiti in one of the areas to scan. They were on some buildings in an area that has a bunch of trees (forget the name offhand). Got a hornet and a clover sort of shape. They definitely do a good job of hiding them in plain sight. You really need to keep your eyes peeled.

I've been compiling loot and unlockables etc in my spreadsheet (linked in the OP) since the prologue demo. Though it's a solo project and certainly very incomplete lol. Especially on the decal front. Graffiti is a bitch.

are they weapons or just skins for those specific weapons?
They're their own weapons, except for the missiles. It's an exact clone of the first missile pack, but gold. They're ok weapons, but there's better weapons you get pretty early. Their coloring is also pretty garish and clash pretty hard. I did use the SMG a lot though.
