According to Bandai Namco, "the new release timing gives the development team the time needed to make sure Nintendo Switch players can fully appreciate the true Dark Souls experience anytime and anywhere, thanks to the unique portable nature of the Nintendo Switch console."

The Amiibo has also been delayed to the summer as well. Here's to hoping Summer means more so June-July, and less so August-September.

Old news, but I'll say it again: Perfect time for this to release, handheld dark souls during summer break will be huge for the kids in school / university who are going out to travel during the break

Any handheld release during the summer is an instant boost in sales IMO.
