Just buy once, just need to spend souls to repair
One buy lasts you the entire game.
you can't mod weapons (essentially go above +5, right?Andre sells it for that price. The Undead Merchant will rip you off demanding 3000, the bugger.
But yeah, I remember on my first playthrough of the remaster, before descending into Blighttown, I was thinking about all of the titanite I'll be getting in Blighttown and how I'd have to go all the way back up just reinforce it. But then, a moment of clarity reminded me this was DS1, and realized and I can do it all on my own at the bonfire with the right stuff.
One thing I really like about DS1 that was strangely the only game to do it, you can do everything yourself at a bonfire.
When you get to NG+, the bonfires keep their Kindled level, so it can be pretty helpful to upgrade the older ones before beating the final boss.So really, there's no point in going back to kindle bonfires from older areas, but going forward if i'm stuck at a tough bonfire it would help me out?
This is my first time playing Dark Souls, and the Capra Demon boss sucks balls.

Just summon help, if you can survive the first 5 seconds you should be ok. Run to the back and kill the dogs, hopefully your summon will distract Capra. The fight is pretty easy with the dogs gone.
Yea, when I started and got the rite, I thought it was like dark souls 2 where kindling or w/e they called it actually made enemies stronger so I had been avoiding it so far. Wish I hadn't lol
Hello again, Chosen Undead,
On June 9, a patch will be released for the PC version of Dark Souls: Remastered.
Patch 1.01.2
Changes
- Fixed a bug in which a part of detection system for tampering doesn't work properly.
- Fixed a bug in which PC doesn't work as the minimum specs with some PC conditions.
- Fixed a bug in which you crash when trying to read the Book of the Guilty.
- Fixed a display bug for texts.
- Other minor bug fixes.
Should you discover a bug that is not addressed in a patch note on this thread, please inform our customer support team by contacting us here: http://bnent.eu/DSRSUPPORT
Thank you for your kind attention and for playing Dark Souls.
Just cheesed it! I threw a few Firebombs over the wall, which took away half of Capra's health. Then ran in and finished him with the Bastard Sword.
Hopefully "other minor bug fixes" includes fixing the random full PC lockups that started with one of the previous patches...
Welp, I'm not getting summoned at all near the O&S bonfire. Is this game already dead in PS4?
Sorry I don't think I explained very well - so this is when I'm running around in the swamp itself, ground level. I'm not talking about looking up toward the sky, I'm actually talking about moving the camera up so that it's pointing downward toward the ground. i.e. if I can see more of what's in front of me, the game is super dark, if I adjust so I'm looking more toward the ground, the lighting is much brighter. I'll try to capture some screenshots to demonstrate what I'm seeing.Have you been to Dukes Archives yet? There are enemies outside the boss room there that drop twinkling with a very high drop rate. Once the boss of the area is done, it's worth farming them since the bonfire is so close.
You'd get some of this in the original even, I've noticed similar things when transitioning from the Parish to Darkroot and AL to Dukes. The areas have different lighting and the transition does seem to be awkward at times in the remaster. In the case of Blighttown, looking up, you're looking outside and up to Firelink Shrine itself, so the colour difference is because you're looking up to daylight and I guess the engine handles it this way, which isn't very pleasing to the eye of the player at times.
Where can i find the ember that gives me the option to infuse my weapon and make it a quality build?

Ugh. Not a lot of detail. Really wish we would get a legit patch with bug fixes--literally can't even see messages from other players and the game has massive spikes for me every so often that are a real pain in the ass.
I noticed this in a few areas in the Painted World. Adjusting the camera vertically dramatically altered the light level.Sorry I don't think I explained very well - so this is when I'm running around in the swamp itself, ground level. I just shake my head when I see people summon Beatrice for the Four Kings.
But that just makes it worse since the boss still gets the HP buff, doesn't it?
There's no ember for this similar to how you can make Quality weapons in Demon's Souls (where the phrase comes from) - Quality weapons in DS1 are just ones that scale equally (or well) with both STR and DEX like the Claymore.Where can i find the ember that gives me the option to infuse my weapon and make it a quality build?
What level are you and how upgraded is your gear? Typically that area is good for levels 45-55 or so.
Always felt bad for cheesing Gyn by running round a rock outcropping and hitting him through it with the Black Knight Halberd.Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I still feel guilty about cheesing Old King Doran in Demon's Souls by hitting him with poison cloud and exploiting a pathing bug to get him stuck behind a door while he slowly died.
Worst part about the Four Kings is falling down into the Abyss and die due to a slightly extended staircase platform.
Also the boss gets an HP buff when you summon Beatrice? Fuck me then, I shouldn't have summoned her during those attempts if true

Ok thanks, and if I'm using on of those standard swords I can get it to +15 and add lightning/fire/magic to it right?
I fucking hate that, and I'm sorry to say that it's still a bit of a problem in DS2 and 3. :\ It feels worse in DS1 at times though. Please someone tell me they fixed that dumb arbitrary target lock range in DS2 and 3. I can deal with in normal gameplay, but it's such a pain in large boss fights. I just got killed by Manus because I took one step too many backwards just as he wounded up for his hand smash jump. The camera unlocked automatically, I rolled the wrong direction and boom, dead.
Ah, damn. Well like I said, it's mainly a boss thing. Part of the learning curve for bosses is to recognize what moves cause the target lock to release.I fucking hate that, and I'm sorry to say that it's still a bit of a problem in DS2 and 3. :\ It feels worse in DS1 at times though.
Don't convert +15 you're wasting materials.
You get to +10 and convert to fire, etc.
You have to hit three target, all of them are 'guarded' by branches you got to destroy as well. Left and right have to be done first, then the middle one.
Okay, that's it. The navigation in this game is quite poor. I have no notion of where I'm supposed to go, and the game does little to no handholding in giving any idea where you're meant to go. I just got into the Valley of Drakes, and upon looknig at the wiki, it would seem this is near end-game... I haven't even reached Blight town yet
You chose master key as gift?
Not recommended for new players...try to remember what you unlocked with the master key and avoid going there.
You can run through to Blightown from Firelink though if you have master key. You can run there no problem.
I don't believe I have master key lol
I went through Darkroot Basin and down where a lever was took be to the Valley of Drakes.
What was the last boss you beat?
Depths should be right before Blighttown.
