that doesn't change his conclusion, does it? whether it's the fault of the league or the players, he's dissatisfied with the product and might not watch going forward.
Damn this fucking sucks lmao
I'll still watch but wtf. They didn't have enough talent already?!
I watched one game this past season. My team just signed the best player in the league, and right now I probably am not going to beat that record this coming season. If we can also sign the most intrinsically expensive and most talented team in history at the same time as Golden State then I might start watching. Or if multiple Warriors starters are literally taken out for the rest of the season by a crazy fan or during a game I might start watching.I've read a lot of comments that people tlwill stop watching the NBA. It's amusing to me because one, they know damn well they won't and two, what are you going to watch? Baseball? Lmao.
If the NBA really want to increase competitive balance, all they have to do is get rid of the max contract. The problem is it will be really hard to convince the Players Association because you'll end up with situations where your superstar gets $80 mil a year and the rest of the team have to share $25 mil.
im tired of Fjordson "oh gee im worried about the warriors :(" act. Nobody's buying this from a team that's bout to walk to the most noncompetitive three-peat in modern NBA history.
Of course not, The Warriors already had the championships locked up for the next few years.Do I think it's some league altering move that is going to change the landscape of the NBA? No.
Like I said in previous threads. If Lebron really wanted a ring, he'd take a pay cut. And its not about 'lining' the pockets of billionaires. It's about salary tax rules. At some point, its not worth paying 4x, 5x the salary. He should be surrounding himself with stars and making it fit into the salary cap.
No they did. This is just them continuing to cheat the system.
The Warriors play high-level basketball.
NFL rules prevent anyone from playing high-level football. NFL product is trash.
So Cousins could in theory be ready for opening night, but they're gonna let him rehab slow and come back around New Years time?
There should now be a policy saying an all-star cannot sign for a mid-level exception. Unbelievable...
There's really no point now. The warriors are literally starting an all-star team...
Entertaining != quality.Last February's Superbowl between Philly and New England was far more entertaining than any NBA playoff game in the past couple of decades. Both were at a high level the entire season.
But soft whistles and flopping going unpunished *is* rules :thinking:And maybe address the soft contact whistles and the flopping epidemic before we go calling the NFL trash because of rules.
I get being salty because as much as I defended KD for doing what he did, this is just insanity now, but how is this cheating the system???? Lmfao.
Expand? Where exactly is the additional talent going to come from? Look at the teams out East.
This right here. It wasn't some master planned move from GS that was years in the making. It was just a perfect confluence of events that allowed for this to happen. It was smart of them to convince KD to take slightly less just in case an opportunity like this presents itself though, but that is pretty standard practice from good front offices. Especially ones with winning track records.lmao lowering the cap won't accomplish anything other than making the owners look greedy. The cap is going up and up. The Warriors were able to do this because the league affords teams at or over the cap a few exception contract slots to fill out their roster. Like with KD, this is an outlier scenario. A former all star in his prime who is severely injured essentially jumping on a contender to get a ring while he rehabs in order to test the market next offseason. There is nothing the league can or should do to avoid THAT very specific scenario.
Even worse than an acl it's an achilles tear. Guys generally aren't the same after an achilles.Lol - Cousins might not be the same player after the torn ACL, but this is still silly. Look forward to the box scores, probably won't be watching much.
My Nationals are going all the fucking way this time. BetI've read a lot of comments that people tlwill stop watching the NBA. It's amusing to me because one, they know damn well they won't and two, what are you going to watch? Baseball? Lmao.
Yep. Might try again to get into hockey, as well, see how the Blue Jackets do this season. There are other options.I've read a lot of comments that people tlwill stop watching the NBA. It's amusing to me because one, they know damn well they won't and two, what are you going to watch? Baseball? Lmao.
People who watch one game have a fucking NBA team LMAOI watched one game this past season. My team just signed the best player in the league, and right now I probably am not going to beat that record this coming season. If we can also sign the most intrinsically expensive and most talented team in history at the same time as Golden State then I might start watching. Edit: Literally wishing for wrestling storylines in the hopes of making the league more watchable.
The entire purpose of teh Salary cap system is to insure that no one team can have all the stars on it. Thats why max deals and the cap system exist in the first place. The best players make a shitload of money and that money goes against the cap making sure that no team can have nothing but stars. And if they go over the cap they are heavily penalized.
However the Warriors are undermining that system by taking star players and convincing them to play for pennies in exchange for a ring. It undermines the entire purpose of the salary cap system.
Haha, hey I'm not worried about the Dubs overall, this is a luxury signing for them and I totally get why other fans hate it. I just think some people are overstating what Boogie's impact will actually be next season. There's a real chance he could be done as an elite player.im tired of Fjordson "oh gee im worried about the warriors :(" act. Nobody's buying this from a team that's bout to walk to the most noncompetitive three-peat in modern NBA history.
please let this finally be the thing to make people want to get rid of the cap. let the players be paid what they're worth
still, 50% Boogie a substantial upgrade over ZazaHaha, hey I'm not worried about the Dubs overall, this is a luxury signing for them and I totally get why other fans hate it.
