Anyone on a 3080/9900k or similar set-up? Was thinking I'd just put this on DLSS quality and everything Ultra. Would like to get around 80 fps if possible. Playing on a 4k OLED with G-sync.

looks like a decent upgrade over the console. i wasn't really blown away by the visuals in 2018 and i'm certainly not now, but it's a great game that i'll definitely check out again

Watched the video.

I really don't like what DLSS / FST does to Kratos beard. I also don't like how in some shots Atreus face has this "green lit" effect.

Very minor in the scope of things. Hope to see screen shots of where DLSS added detail that's not there in 4K like in Death Stranding.

I hope they add resolutions greater than 4K.

With dlss on quality I'm getting around 80fps easily, haven't seen it dip much lower than that. 4k on an Oled with gsync as well with a 3080.

As others have said with DLSS even at 4k it does look like its sharpened quite a bit and while its not horrible it is noticeable.

Hmmmm I had a crash after playing about 30 minutes, not sure if it's due to the undervolt on my GPU or if the game just has a chance to crash occasionally.

As far as performance goes, it's amazing. Everything maxed with DLSS Quality at 1440p on my 3080 laptop and I'm usually getting between 80-110 fps.

As someone that got the platinum last year on PS5 playing on a 4K OLED, playing at native 4K with Ultra textures on PC is a nice step up. The IQ is so clean and crisp now, it's a great improvement over the PS5 BC version.

Able to do native 4K 60 FPS locked with ultra everything but shadows. Great port so far. Running into a weird issue where game goes black for a second and keyboard prompts appear and cannot use my controller 🤷‍♂️. Restarting the game fixes it

This port is just chef's kiss....weird though that you can't put it in fullscreen which kinda defeats the purpose of having a "internal resolution" slider, since you can't move it unless you're in fullscreen mode :/

I'm running in 4K with all ultra settings, Nvidia boost and DLSS Performance on a 2080 Ti and getting what looks like 90-120 FPS. Also running a Ryzen 3950X on this PC which means the multicore CPU heavy stuff isn't an issue for me. When I finish up my custom watercooling loop on my main 5950X/3090 build I can probably get it to hit 4K 144 Hz.

What a polished port this is. It runs so well on KB/M too. I am super impressed. Take notes, Square Enix. This is how you do a PC port.

Hell, Xbox Game Studios should be taking notes for that matter. PlayStation Studios are, to paraphrase Nas, murdering you on your own shit.
Thanks for the giveaway Finale Fireworker

Edit: curious how well this would on my new laptop w/ a RTX 3060
I'm guessing you'll be able to max it out.

So would a 5800X be able to maintain 120 like the 10900K? Or would be it more similar to the 3600

RTX 20 series have aged way better than expected, if you got a RTX 20 card at launch or the Summer of 2019 with the Super Refresh that was an extremely wise buy.

It's definitely games like this (and features like DLDSR) that show it was probably better to get an RTX 2080 instead of a 1080 ti like a lot of people were suggesting early on.

Anyone in here running this with an AMD card? I'm downloading it now, but am hearing rumblings in various comment sections that AMD performance is very poor indeed. I have a 6700 XT and will be targeting 1440p. As always, I'll start with DF's optimised settings.

It runs fine on new Radeons.

Looks really great on PC and the higher resolution, better shadows and reflections etc are very nice indeed. But the most obvious difference is the greatly reduced pop-in when running around - I went back to the PS5 BC version to compare and it's especially obvious after you've been playing the PC version for a while.

Nice Finale Fireworker

I've lost my PS4 to my sons bedroom, so it would be good to try it on PC at some point, despite only having a GTX1060. Watching the DF and some other content, it actually looks like it would not be a terrible experiance. I'm ok with 40fps if I can get it stable, which looks very possible on original settings @1080p.

I also appreciate mentioning custom resolution @ 50 Hz for the game not hitting 60, a lot of games benefit from this and people should could gain better experience using this.

I've been doing this for a while with some titles. With AC-V I can get a consistant 50fps, but not 60, so doing this works very well, and it's the same with my modded Skyrim. It's certainly worth trying for us low enders.

Looks way better than the PS4 version due to getting rid of that awful checkerboarding.
Why do developers use this? Just seems bad.

That's because he's zooming 400%. From a normal viewing distance it's quite hard fo tell.
Yeah, I know DF have acknowledged the 400% memes but it felt like a bit of joke when he was zooming in that far (I get why it was done though). I imagine most people playing GOW on PS5 are doing so on a TV at least a few feet away. If you're on a monitor it's much more noticeable though of course

Amazing port. I've settled on 2880x1800 (DLDSR x2.25) on my 1200p monitor. Ultra settings. IQ looks like a pre-rendered movie. The art and design in this game is absolutely stunning. Silly levels of talent that now shines bright on PC.

If you have a good enough PC, going ultra on shadow really change the game compared to most of other games where you barely see difference between high and ultra

i recommend it personally

DLSS (especially Quality mode) seems to have some very noticeable halo/ringing artifacts compared to PS CB4K or Native 4K. Looks over sharpened and unnatural.

That's right. It was the very first thing I noticed around the tree branches at the very beginning of the game. The artifacts are too pronounced and distracting for my tastes, so I will be using native resolution for now.

Running on a 3600x can be frustrating. My fps dropped to 47fps during the 2nd boss fight when the camera faces to Kratos' home.

Is this really optimized or just optimized to run at 4k?

I really hope that Uncharted gets this level of love on PC. At least based on what has been advertised the PS5 version looks like a res/fps boost mainly

If you're on AMD that's normal but there's nothing the devs can do about that, except make a DX12 version. There's a ton of driver overhead on AMD as it's a DX11 game. You can't look at a CPU in a vacuum and expect x performance as CPU performance can dffer greatly between AMD & Nvidia.

Check this out, go to the CPU part and swtich between AMD & Nvidia GPUs:

If you look at Nvidia GPUs almost all CPUs hits above 60fps, even the 1600x has minimums above 60fps. Then if you switch to AMD only Alder Lake has minimums above 60fps.
