What's with he rocks or mountains and stonewalls this generation? Almost every game in last couple years seems to make them look like they are from real world

Like battlefront did it couple years ago

i dont have a 4k tv but damn if it doesnt look amazing. Maybe ill try the performance mode tonight on my TV

I played on my PC and it runs flawless also

Incredible. I'm going to enjoy the eye candy at 4k/30 for a bit cause it's going to be hard to switch back to 30 once I try out the 60fps mode.

Even upon hearing that they're adding a 60 fps mode at e3, I was skeptical they could pull it off consistently.
They freaking did it. Bravo!

It's crazy they can do 60fps on console in an open world game with visuals like that.

Gotta admit, this is amazing. Sampled the demo last night and the 60fps mode is rock solid. This is now the best looking driving game I've played to date.

Intresting stuff about the dynamic option tho. Would be nice. But depends if there is really enough head room. Curious if the 60fps is gonna be locked when 12 other players are going ham at a public event in Edinburgh. Thats i think a bigger test then those big setpieces we see now? :).

There is literally no circumstance whatsoever where I'd rather play a game at 30fps, given the option to lock it at 1080p60.

Great idea on them for giving us the option. The "moar shinies" mentality has constantly led to developers pushing higher resolutions before good frame rates.

Last gen skipped mostly skipped the preferable 720p60 target and aimed for an inconsistent garbage mess of poor 1080p with low frame rates instead. And then this gen's mid-refreshes, finally capable of competent 1080p performance, were immediately relegated instead to mediocre 30fps duty at 4k.

Agree. And if they hire great animators, story tellers and combat developers, I expect this to transfer over to Fable. Great attention to detail and open world game design. Even if it's just with cars, the progression system could translate to an action RPG. The open world environment from FH4 looks like a good template for Fable.

PG is probably Microsoft's best studio right now.

I have a 1080p TV so I'll probably go with 60fps. Downsampling is nice and all but it's no substitute for a real higher res picture, and I can't get that.

I can't wait to see the full deep dive into this game. This is hands down one of the best looking games period. We are lucky to be getting a fable game from this studio.

Game looks absolutely incredible. Looks like the lighting and shaders have been improved somewhat since FH3. Side note, is this still 1080p/30fps with 4xMSAA on the standard Xbox One?

It's a racing game it damn well better hit 1080p/60 and 4K/30 it looks great but what we all want from nextgen is 4k 60 that's the goalpost for gamers.

That said I'm buying it :)

This game looks absolutely amazing and to hit a 60fps lock is insane. Absolute wizards at PG and I can't wait to see what they have in store with their version of Fable, if they are working on that.

Last gen? The PS360 gen? I think you're misremembering. A lot of games weren't even 720p30 let alone 60.
