How accurate were the dev completion times given? There are full playthroughs on twich now as well, if anyone's into that.
Dev said 10 am pst sadlyAny word on when it unlocks on steam or gog? I'd be down to start playing at midnight.
Added it to the wishlist last night and it requires 22g iircSo not only will it unlock at eight friggin' PM for me, I can't even start playing it then since I'll have to download the whole damn thing first.
Hope it's small.
That's actually perfect for me. 5PM in here, so I'd probably have just arrived home from work.

3AM on a work day here in Australia... Still don't understand the whole releasing games in the middle of the week thing.
Well, there's one that's 36h and not finished. I don't really want to get a too close look.
Maybe they want to be working on it till the end and making a big day 1 patch takes more work?anyone who's worked with steam/games before able to explain why? is extra work involved for the devs? i'd assume steam handles that after the file/files are uploaded.
Announced a few weeks ago at $39.99/€39.99/£34.99.
Thanks!
We asked a while back and apparently there's no embargo.
What does it mean? Reviews will be released gradually, according to each reviewer's pace?
Yup. It is a bit strange that there are no reviews yet though. What does it mean? Reviews will be released gradually, according to each reviewer's pace?
Wow, what a hype killer.Yup. It is a bit strange that there are no reviews yet though.
Probably because it's so big. If anything, no one rushing reviews out is a good signYup. It is a bit strange that there are no reviews yet though.
That is actually pretty handy.
I believe you just tag them. @ Username (no space) and a dropdown box should show up.

This is what we know on the matter:

I don't think anyone has mentioned any bugs beyond some minor typos in the text.God I totally forgot this was coming out tomorrow. Same day as Outer Wilds on PS4. Yikes!
But man this looks so good I may just have to go for it. Have pre-release impressions been alright in terms of bugginess and the like?
Good to hear. It's always my biggest concern getting big ambitious indie games like this one day 1, but if it seems pretty clean I am definitely jumping in.I don't think anyone has mentioned any bugs beyond some minor typos in the text.
What are some of the inspirations for Disco Elysium?
The Shield, The Wire, and True Detective are some of the main inspirations behind the "cop show" part of Disco Elysium. "Disco Elysium" is us using the cop show format to introduce the city of Revachol (a sort of disgraced world capital) in the fifties. Aside from cop shows it draws on Dashiell Hammett's detective stories, Emile Zola's naturalism and of course welsh poetry. (Richey Edwards and RS Thomas). We also have an undying and somewhat ridiculous love for the Damien Marley song "Welcome to Jamrock".
What about video game inspirations?
Planescape Torment, Kentucky Route Zero, Baldur's Gate, Pillars of Eternity, Divinity Original Sin. Fallout (the first).
