Ofc. I prefer to research on my laptop/desktop thanks to the screen real estate, but when it comes to purchasing, I have no qualms with using my phone.

If it's not a complicated expensive purchase, on the phone. If I need to run comparisons and research desktop/laptop.

The biggest thing I've purchased on a phone, technically was a house: signed the docs on my phone while driving across the country to move into it sight unseen (never again).

It's more about how much information I have to type in, that's why I would prefer to buy plane tickets on a laptop.

Made my last two big purchases on my phone: a new TV from Best Buy and plane tickets. The era of big purchases on your phone is here!

It's funny, I kinda get what they mean. It does feel more "appropriate" for lack of a better term to do it in my office chair on my desktop.

That being said, I guess I sort of split the difference in that my most used device at home these days is my iPad Pro. So most purchases are made while I'm using that, even big ones.

Most purchases I'd be fine doing on a phone, although if it is something I feel like I want to research or shop around for then I'd prefer to do it on a laptop/PC where it will be quicker.

If what I'm doing involves a wire transfer from a bank account I'll for sure do it on a laptop/PC as I feel more comfortable being able to have two windows to quickly check and make sure I've entered everything correctly.

My wife and I have moved into a higher tax bracket the last few years and more expensive options so yeah I'll fuckin order a $2k pc.

But I'd still not buy a phone with my car maybe.

I hardly make any purchases on my phone. Food orders are one. Fidelity used to only let me do fractional share trades in the app, not on the website, so that's another one that was common.

I do like a bigger screen and space to check things when making large purchases, but realistically I'm rarely buying things if I'm not already sitting at home with my laptop in the same room. It's just easier to open that up and have a larger section of a store in front of me.

I don't want to spend money in general but my wife uses Apple Pay and in general it seems to be faster than trying to buy something on a laptop or desktop. And she is not afraid to make a big or small purchase on her phone.

I assume that people like me that don't stuff like that on their phones are boomers. :(

As someone who does Onboarding, I always tell people "ignore the app, do all your new hire steps on a computer, thank you"

Mobile apps are nice, so are requested desktop views (when they do work) but yeah I always steer people towards a computer.

With that said I did just drop $3,000 for a camera through my phone.

I only really use my phone as an alarm clock and for listening to audiobooks, so no. I only have one because my kids school stopped sending letters and insisted on texting instead.
