Of all heroes I wonder why you pick DK. He's cooler conceptually than mechanically I guess.

Looks like every other video game cartoon that Netflix has produced. Hopefully it's better than the Dragon's Dogma one at least.

I'm hoping this is his origin story and he gets his cool deep voice when he and Slyrak merge or whatever.
I'll give it a shot, but yeah this looks generic as all hell. Odd seeing how the game has a bunch of cool characters with awesome art.

Yeah that teaser doesnt look great. Out of all the interesting heroes and races and character designs, you go with the most standard and generic looking Dungeons and Dragons Knight you can think of
Couple of years ago, there was apparently going to be a TF2 tv series in Adult Swim, but got cancelled because working with Valve was very difficult.
I wonder if they can move the show to Netflix.

Of all the incredible cast in Dota, they managed to pick the absolutely most boring one imaginable and didn't get the voice right either. I'm not that mad cause I don't seriously care about the lore but come on! Imagine how cool it'd be if they did a slice of life anime with Slark, Naga, and Slardar or something.
This. I had fun watching and clowning on every second of that trashy Death Note movie and I expect nothing less from this.

On topic, this preview is generic af and makes me not want to watch it. I don't even think it will reach so bad is good status. It will just be forgettable bad.
Echoing the mild confusion about DK being the star. Dota lore is surprisingly and deceptively deep... And good... And then you pick the most boring guy in the whole thing.
I can't believe Valve managed to ship an anime* before Riot could ship theirs.
For reference, Studio Mir is probably best known for the Voltron Netflix series, although that also assisted with the animation of Korra, Black Dynamite and The Boondocks.

Either would have honestly been a better choice. Dota feels like something too dense to just be able to just pcik up and follow.
Also after the Dragon's Dogma anime this seems much the same i.e bad.
