Can't wait to pick up my copy tomorrow and enjoy some sweet, soothing Super Fami DQ feels in 2D mode. =)
WHHHAAAT :O
I wouldn't get too overly hyped byI don't think it's even been a year since I played the vanilla version.
I never finished the third act though.
I want a good idea of just how substantial the new content is.
According to reviews, there is even another party member!
Dare I run though the game again?
I am leaning towards not buying the game now, the 2D mode is very disappointing. No voice acting, the monsters have 0 animations during combat and you don't see the party members just text. Plus, you can't switch between 2d and 3d on the fly, you have to restart a chapter and the chapter cut off points aren't even clear. I would have enjoyed something more akin to the combat in DQ6 DS with simpler backgrounds. At the very least include voice acting and at least a limited form of animation for the monsters....Wait. I was assuming 2d had both the orchestrated soundtrack and VA. If it doesnt then I'll pass. Im in the same boat as you, played it on PC on 4K I have no desire to play the switch version im 3d.

The new character,
If its the one from the 3ds game, then its you unlock one of those cute time ghosts as a party member after beating all the superbosses
the back of the switch makes me jealous as afFirst unboxing video of the Switch Loto Edition bundle that's releasing in Japan alongside the game. Whew, lad.
Envious of those playing DQ11 for the first time...enjoy it everyone. Also just wanted to mention how perfect I think the OT title is.
I just picked up from the demo. You don't need to have finished the demo, you can just load any of the demo save files and continue on from wherever you were.
Yeah, thats usually the american eshop midnight release time.My digital copy should unlock at midnight EST right? Maybe? Hopefully?
:) I don't usually wait for digital unlocks so I wasn't sure, thanks!
hmm do you set combat to automatic or do you choose what to do and when to do it?

Can you enter the Tickington 16bit quests ("revisiting" former Dragon Quest Games) in the 3D Version?
For random enemies, at least early on, it's ok to have them set to auto but you're gonna have a bad time with all bosses if you leave it like that.hmm do you set combat to automatic or do you choose what to do and when to do it?
I wouldn't get too excited. I read somewhere it was confirmed on official stream there is no new party member.Holy crap new party member?? How did that not leak?? I guess I'll find out eventually when my copy arrives tomorrow morning.
I want that switch. :OFirst unboxing video of the Switch Loto Edition bundle that's releasing in Japan alongside the game. Whew, lad.

Worth it for someone that has never played a Dungeon Quest game but likes RPG's?
NormalSo as a first timer in the whole series, some members recommended me to play the "Draconian" difficulty (harder monsters). I saw that there are more options, like if the protagonist dies the whole party losses. Which would be the ideal rules for a challenging yet fun experience for a first timer?
