The only thing i wish they changed with the sequel is the stamina depletion while exploring. Though it doesn't seem that bad this time around, as your normal speed seems much faster than it was in the first game.

Question to those who pre ordered and got the physical game early (Europe) . I didn't find any extra code for extra weapons for those who pre ordered inside the game case. Is there supposed to be a code or is it already inside the game disc? Didn't have the chance to go home yet and try even though I got the game.

Sorta unrelated but Capcom topped at #1 on Metacritic Game Publisher of the Year.

Technical issues aside, I'm glad Capcom are doing great games.

No surprise really. Capcom's been basically releasing back to back hits for years now, they've gotten into such an amazing groove that the FPS issues in DD2 aint gonna ruin my fun! Its also impressive that considering Capcom's least good release in years - Exoprimal - is still plenty fun, it feels like a total 180 from those later PS3/360 years where they couldnt help but mess up somehow - from lackluster reboots, bad sequels, on disc DLC, GFWL only releases...

Played and completed the first game back in the day on 360.

I always love when I'm expecting to play a game on release day and then for some weird reason it releases the day before.

https://www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/dragons-dogma-2-release-times/#:~:text=Capcom's%20massive%20RPG%20launches%20on,is%20already%20available%20on%20Steam.

According to this it looks like it unlocks on steam at 8PM tonight on the East Coast. Hopefully my outdated processor is prepared to be set on fire

To be fair, we've known the unlock dates/times for Steam and Console since Monday or so. I'm in a similar boat - I took tomorrow off, and will be busy tonight starting AT the 7pm time (my time) that it unlocks. But! I should be able to play a few hours later tonight, and then it also means I can wake up early and hit the ground running right away tomorrow.

Lots of people make their Main Pawn a Sorcerer for the heals. You could go that route or just rely on healing items instead. Making a big tank who carry a lot of your items can also be a good idea.

Personally, I am starting with Archer. My Main Pawn is going to be a Thief (this is primarily for role play purposes as I am basing them off a specific character).

Mage is heals, Sorcerer is nukes

There no lie in that title, amazing OT Arisen.

Even with the new classes I'm still going back to Warrior lol. But who knows, maybe I'll change my mind mid playthrough. Or just play through it again if I enjoy it enough. Can't wait to dive in...

Parts Unknown.
Made my Arisen and pawn last night.

Cat man Fighter for my Arisen named Lion-O

And Panthro my Cat man pawn thief who looks like an absolute unit. He's fucking massive and looks like he's just ready to murder.

I need help deciding whether to make my main pawn a Mage for easy healing or something a bit more fun for DPS like an Archer>Warrior/Sorcerer.

Doing myself a "Becky Lynch" pawn. It' not 100% there yet, but I think it's not too bad so far. I'm just not sure how to make it even more accurate and what to work on.

I think I pause for now and start with my own character a bit.

Hell of an OT!

I should really sort out my character creation stuff before the launch, huh?

Do the pawns have personality to them? I remember in Dark Arisen they were kind of....repetitive and not really different voice wise.

I got my physical PS5 copy today. Installing now. I originally the P5 order, but then I found a cheaper copy and ordered that because I'm a weird collector of specific physical games.

I'm going to play this on PC, but I'll take this for a spin tonight. Then I also have a point of comparison for when I start the game on PC tomorrow.

Can I tell my archer pawn to shoot these ladders? Or do I have to come back with an archer vocation and do it myself?

How does one control the to the ERA google sheet.
Everything is controlled through the Google Form for registration and edits. The actual registry on the Google Sheet is locked down to prevent tampering/sabotage. When you register your pawn you will receive an email confirmation, may get sent to spam depending on your email provider, and in that confirmation email there is the option to edit your response:

Which will take you back to your Google Form entry and let you amend and update any of the info you submitted. So if you change your pawn's vocation, get your Pawn ID once the game is live, alter your Headshot, or decide to wipe your save and create a new and different Pawn you can update that info there.

iFirez might be worth threadmarking this even though the info is in the OT.

Thanks so much! It's a little overwhelming but definitely want to be involved, don't think I ever had a game where something like this could be done.

I didn't watch much gameplay, want to be as blind as possible

Any small rundown of what each vocation is and what they do? Melee, distance, and all that! I want to know beforehand since you can't test them before starting the game sadly

thanks!

Does anyone know how big the game is (as in storage space)? Trying to get an idea how long my download will take.

Did you read the OP? There are brief descriptions of each Vocation listed.

69GB on Xbox, I imagine it'll be the same everywhere.

As usual, it's hard to sift through first impressions regarding framerate. I'd be gaming on a Series X, but I've been a console gamer since the N64 days and used to poor framerates. I played Skyrim in first person upon relase and that dipped all the time.

From the gameplay I've seen, I think I can handle it just fine. I'm also thinking of maybe starting with a magic based character that doesn't require much in the way of precision, because I'm assuming this will be patched sometime in the coming weeks to provide a better 30fps experience, and then maybe when that happens, I'd switch to something melee or archer based which requires more precision.

But I'm entirely new to this game (never played the first), so perhaps magic characters still require a lot of finesse. A lot of their abilities that I've seen online seem like they're AOE or just require vague directionality, though.

It's warrior, Mystic Spearhand (I mained Mystic Knight in the first game), or honestly sticking with Fighter.
