Weren't we supposed to get a Huber Syndrome last night? What happened?
None of the other games had towns, so no. I'm guessing it'll do something like the other games, use a location where you upgrade your units/equipment (can't remember what it was in 1, in 2 it was the school and in 4 it'll probably be the sub) but it's just background, you don't actually explore it
There will absolutely be towns in VC4...you'll just be fighting battles in them xp.

Hah cool to see Jon Finger too.
Brandon is officially losing me.
What was up with him dancing around the word "predatory" when talking about loot boxes? That's not up to discussion - it is an admittedly predatory system, that literally brags about chasing whales.
And saying it's all about messaging while bringing up how casinos have a fine line talking about gambling addiction hotlines as if they do it out of good will, and not because federal regulation forces them to? What?
I'm really glad Ben was in that panel.
No towns forever, only 4 worlds too.
Haven't played either but I just picked up AC: Origins. I wasn't too impressed with Mordor and then the sequel added all that bad stuff.AC Origins or Shadow of War?
Anyone play both and have an opinion?

I uninstalled Shadow of War after a couple of hours, drab, dull and repetitive.AC Origins or Shadow of War?

I mean that's just me obviously, people still seem to enjoy the nemesis system, it just couldn't keep my attention long enough to really get me to explore it.Damn, sucks to hear about shadow.
Alright, Origins it is then.
I haven't played it personally, but I always like using How Long to Beat to see how long games are. Here's the one for Mario + Rabbids: https://howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=46464I had missed the Walmart deal on Mario + Rabbids but managed to snag it during the Amazing lightning deal.
Pretty excited to try it out. Could anyone give me an estimate as to how long it is generally?
I 100%'d the game and my activity log says I spent 37 hours with it which seems about right though I did leave my Switch running for 2 hours whilst I had to go take an after hours client call. I think a crit path would be in the mid low 20s but it's certainly worth doing the challenges which unlock once you finish the story content in that world. They're almost like puzzle scenarios where you need to figure out how to spec out your team to deal achieve the objective.I had missed the Walmart deal on Mario + Rabbids but managed to snag it during the Amazing lightning deal.

You can play it without knowing anything, but there are some callbacks that may resonate with you if you've played the previous Nier. If you want, you can watch some Nier analyses (there was a good series of videos by Clemps on youtube) but you can treat Automata as a standalone game also.Borrowed Nier Automata from a friend, gonna try to finish it before the end of the year.
What level of Nier universe knowledge is recommended?
They need to change how bets work a bit in 2018. It actually does seem unfair that Jones and Kyle are there every week while the other team gets mixed up every week.
The easiest thing to do would be to put them on different teams. Also, it would cultivate more of a rivalry compared to the purple platypi being different people every week.
Kyle actually already mentioned on the last 2 podcasts they're changing the podcast betting system for next year. They need to change how bets work a bit in 2018. It actually does seem unfair that Jones and Kyle are there every week while the other team gets mixed up every week.
Same, and I'll also miss Ian making weird sounds instead of trying to emulate a platypus. Makes me crack up every time.
EZA bets are the most compelling case against lootboxes yetIt's still going to be unfair to Kyle. Jones wins all the points so Team Bosman v Team Jones means lol Jones win. Betting is not suppose to be fair. There's a reason why gambling ruins lives.
I like the rights and responsibility part. It's the prize for winning the bet. Bets would be pointless without it. Plus they have two rotating chairs so how would they decide who gets it?Haven't listened to the podcast yet, but team Bosman vs team Jones is something I wanted for a long time. Also stop the whole "rights and responsibilities" thing and just have the rotating chair recommend a video and close out the show.
I meant if team Bosman wins the person next to him gets it, same for team Jones. They still get the final word and get to recommend a video, just with different more compact wording and no "share your Twitter handle" as a reward.I like the rights and responsibility part.
