That would be Brad.
My group stream suggestion went up too late so the votes wont get there for it, but I'll be floating this again next week:-
THE MOLE: Play a few different couch co-op games throughout the night (Overcooked, Lovers In A Dangerous Spacetime, Splatoon Salmon Run etc.) where the players must work together to complete an objective. Have Allies swap in and out frequently throughout the night. Before you begin, shuffle 8/9 cards together, one of which is red, the rest of which are black. The Ally who gets the red card is "The Mole", and must do everything in their power to sabotage the group throughout the night. At the end of the night, everyone decides on who they think the mole is. If the mole can successfully sabotage enough games and remain undetected, they will win, otherwise, the players who sussed them out will win. Viewers and Allies alike can all play along throughout the evening, attempting to figure out: "Who is The Mole?

it's night now.
Bosman's the Mole.
I know this is not how the game works but even when he isn't, Bosman is the Mole.
Will upvote!
I just realized that if Box Peek is so far away from release, the Bosman game dev stream is also nowhere near. Now I'm bummed. Oh well...
Hey guys, so in the gaming hangouts, there is a sticky about how twice a week, they are going to sticky a community thread in the main gaming section, giving it lots of new eyes.
Now, here is what I want to do.
Do NOT highlight this thread. This thread is cool, but there really isn't much reason for people to want to click it and check out.
However, I want to highlight the souls retro. I personally think it gives people more of a reason to check out easy allies, and within that thread I link to this thread.
I don't think we can do 2. That would really raise some questions on having 2 community spotlights.
Then, once we get the spotlight, I'll swap it out with ANOTHER thread I'll make about game sleuth. That cool?
I think the retros and game sleuths are good entry points for easy allies, rather than just some catch-all EZA thread.
I also think Brandon Plays Pokemon and Don's Discount Gaming are the best x2 shows EZA have ever produced.

Sure, you can say that. I don't really think its a particularly good video to show off to someone who has no idea who EZA are though.
I think the EZA crew themselves have said on the podcast the best video to show someone who has no idea what EZA is is Don's Discount Gaming. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong. Either way I understand why you would say those 2 series, I just find them to be the most vanilla(?) is maybe the word.
Sorry but I'm going to disagree. The Souls Retrospective thread isn't a community, it's a discussion on a five part series. I don't think it should've even been posted in the Hangouts section.
Yakuza Zero would have easily been my game of the year had I not just recently purchased a Switch and play Breath of the Wild and Odyssey.
BOTW. Zero. Odyssey. In that order.
What a fucking year though. Incredible.
I truly hope there is a round table discussion for this year's GOTY. I don't care how long it is, just everyone down together, each presenting their personal, and then debating it out until a group decision is reached. Not numbers, but an agreed upon title - this year has been that incredible for games it'd be riveting to watch that many different tastes and personalities come together to try find THE group GOTY on discourse alone. Or maybe I'm just a maniac who likes conflict!

Me too. I hope the spotlight is on the process not the results especially in such a stacked year.
I mentioned this a while ago on somewhere already but my 2 hopes for EZA gotys are that they serve is a great look back and all the great games that came out this year taking great care nothing is forgotten. Basically it would be nice to get a sense of "maybe you missed these in 2017 but it's never to late def try to check them out this year".
My second hope are just fun passionate discussions I don't know how realistic this would be given that I have no idea how many games the group as a whole(or at least more than 2) has checked out. Gotta shoutout to Giantbomb here who I think are best in the biz regarding how they gave goty their own unique spin. I've fallen off hard on their regular content but the 2 things I'm always checking out without fail are their goty deliberations as well as their E3 late night meetups.
I see. I can def see it's probably hard to make deliberations interesting in that case although this years wealth of games should make it easier on that front. I will say though I wouldn't mind even if they agreed beforehand on something to just hold deliberations with theatricals(think wrestling) of course assuming that's something they'd be into. Probably better to not hope for too much given that January already starts explosive and reviews would likely take priority over goty content.Last year, Blood said Last Guardian on the Slack channel and everyone agreed to go along with it, so your deliberations would have been a chat log. Since they don't have a hard limit on how many games are nominees, the only real discussion would be the winner and I have a sneaking suspicion that Mario will do the same thing.
Yeah, last year was just too easy with it being GOTY hands down. Might happen again, but if not, hopefully we hear the discussion.

You know what I actually totally forgot about that they did and I watched it live too. I remember now best owl. Def bring back fun nonsense awards but otherwise I probably should rewatch that to have a better idea on what I'd like to see them improve on. From the gut though I think maybe I wouldn't necessarily want it again to be a stream given the time limit of their group streams, I wanna say Goty are an excellent opportunity to do some produced content on(not necessarily anything too insane though). They did record the debate for all the other categories last year, so if there's a discussion to be had, I think they'll do it. I don't think the meat of the discussion is going to be more than 3 or 4 games anyway and I don't think a vote will be as split as the infamous Witcher 3 vs Bloodborne one I wish we saw. Think we're looking at a BOTW, Mario, Yakuza 0 and maybeeee Persona 5 shootout.
Interesting. I think Persona 5 has more of a shot than Yakuza 0, personally. Huber said in Persona 5 Spoiler Mode that it was his current GOTY. I think Ben would vote for Persona 5 over Yakuza 0, too. Not sure about any other allies.
That was a fun stream. Especially when they started to get more loopyWatching some of their older stuff ... that hearthstone tournament is such a chill watch. Love to see another community tourney with ben/brad/huber commentary.
It gets better as you unlock more moves and stronger heat generation and resistance to certain types of knock down as well as get accustomed to style changing(basically to move anywhere always go into rush and when you wanna pick up something go beast mode). That said I wouldn't debate that it's still a very flawed combat system upon closer inspection especially in the way it creates challenge with it's worth sin being a love stunlocking the player as punishment.I'm playing zero right now, and its pretty addicting, but my main complaint right now is combat.
It feels stiff the way a beat em up shouldn't feel. Picking stuff up feels like a disadvantage, like my grandma is doing it.
Crowd control feels tough. Everyone just dogpiles you, and you take damage during almost anything besides heat attacks. Grab a guy? You can take damage. Try picking something up? They'll immediately hone in on you, hit you, and you'll drop whatever you were trying to pick up.
I dunno. I just wish it felt way more arcadey.
SO, I am a total noob to these guys. Is Frame Trap and the EA podcast their main two shows? What is the difference between them? I watched their last episode and was really digging it.
