You can only have all of your dishes in the form of a soup, or a salad.

Which would you go with? Soups, or salads?

Soups. So comforting.

I thought this would be easy coming in, but now I can't decide.

I mean salads and soups can both have a lot of the same ingredients. 🤔

I guess technically everything in a salad can go in a soup.

Although I love a good Caesar salad...and can't get that with a soup.

Salad. I feel you could get a lot more variety that way. If I have soup too often I get sick of it, never get tired of salad. Have some with almost every meal.

Okay we need to lay down a quick clarification on what a salad is.

Are chicken/egg/whatever salads considered salads?

You realize people are going to ask questions like, "WHAT ABOUT A TACO SALAD? DOES PASTA SALAD COUNT? CAN I PUT THREE RIBEYE STEAKS ON A TOMATO AND CALL IT A SALAD?!" etc…

Same way you could put any meat chunks or whatever into a soup, you can put them onto a salad.

Shit....this got really hard after thinking about it for a while.

If they both come with bread I go salad. No bread? I go soup.

Soup. Then, if I ever want salad, I can make salad soup by applying too much dressing.

Not that big on soup, and I think I'd start missing texture and crunch eventually, so salad it is.

I eat salad every day now, but I simply could not eat it for every meal so soup wins by default.

Went with soup, more options for me and some of my favorite foods like clam chowder or lobster bisque are soups. Where as salads, meh.
Pretty much any food can be turned into a soup and it's delicious. But like… who has ever tried to make… pizza salad?

Soup has too much sodium and i don't care for wet meals for the rest of my life.

Salad in winter just seems depressing.

Soup in summer? You can cool that down. Gazpacho exists already.

Soup it is.

Hrm...

I love both, but soup/soup like things are not something I can do everyday. I think I'd just get tired of basically drinking my meals (and I doubt my teeth would appreciate the lack of things to really bite into).

I could survive on salad daily and could get pretty creative.

I guess salad wins, though I lose either way.

blackened chicken or salmon salad, or a caesar salad with the same, or like fried oysters or whatever, some people do a hamburger patty. taco salads with ground beef or marinated chicken. feels like you would be better off with the salads
