Hopefully this is where we finally get the official VF6 announcement.
Would be cool, but I wonder where they would have the best opportunity to do it. There aren't any Sega games at EVO Japan this year; VF eSports was at EVO Japan last year, so it would've been an easy follow-up to the grand finals of that, but at this point they may prefer to just save it for the main competition in Las Vegas.

TGS probably make more sense but Evo Japan is a strong possibility especially since the rumor is that sega is planning to have strong esports support for the game.

Night City
Excited to see the first big Tekken 8 major with a lot of international talent. Going to be really interesting to see just how strong the top tier meta is and how pro players have adapted to Heat.

There's no way I stay awake to watch the good stuff, but looking forwards to the VODs at least!

Or I'll stay awake and have a completely miserable week afterwards lol....

Interested in watching Tekken for sure. I'm not a player and the inconsistency behind its current hype makes me more wanting to tune in. Definitely be dropping in and out of the streams during my work meeting. Hate being in Tokyo but not able to go

But dang I wish I could get a ticket. Oh well, hopefully someone will put one of those punk works leverless controllers on mercari or something lol… unless an era user wants to grab one for me!

I can accept it, but man, that stream schedule is ass for the UK. Those are wrestling pay per view hours!

Tekken should be interesting. What I'm hoping for is a top 8 that defies the community's current expectations of tier list to broaden horizons on what's possible. There's a lot of negativity right now, for good reason, but instill think T8 has a lot going for it. I guess we'll see the next DLC character here too, so we can see if it matches leaks or not.

Still sucks the Pakistani players couldn't get out there. I dunno if Bamco could've helped at all, but for your game's first big tournament, you should be doing everything you can to make the event definitive for this stage of the game.

Wonder if this will be the first Evo Japan where a non japanese player wins Guilty Gear.
I know Umisho is registered but Im not sure who else from NA and EU is gonna be there.
Also excited for Tekken 8 since I havent really had the chance to watch any kind of high level play for the game.
SF6 def gonna be my main watch. Gonna be hype for sure!

Really hoping we get some character diversity in top 6, even better if a character not listed as S-tier takes it all

Anything to take the heat off Azucena

Appreciate the thread. Due to a weekend trip and time zones I probably won't catch most of it. Will have to VOD it up.

I havent watched a great deal of competitive SF6 but I'll definitely make the time for this.

Excited to see Sugiyama's Necro in 3rd Strike too, I hope they do well.

Huh looking at the schedule I wasn't aware it was a Saturday-Sunday-Monday tournament. I definitely will not be able to watch SF Top6 then since it'll be early Monday for me on the West Coast.

I expect some Azucena, but figure aside from her it'll be mostly Dragunov and Feng. Would be pleasantly surprised by anyone mostly unrepresented, but unfortunately expect Evo Japan to be pretty boring for T8.

Regarding Guilty Gear, Leffen will also be there, same for Supernoon, Jonathan Tene, and Lord Knight.
