Favorite era of Sonic Comics

So there have been 3 main era of Sonic comics:

Archie Sonic when Flynn took over

Reboot due to the Super Genesis Wave

IDW Sonic

So of these eras, which is your favorite and why?

It's amazing how instantaneous the jump in quality was, once Ian came aboard--things I'd wanted the comic to do for years were finally happening, once someone who understood the franchise was writing it. The reboot had some killer ideas, it was unfortunate it was killed prematurely.

Nothing against IDW, but it still hasn't felt like things have truly taken off, to the extent they did in Archie-verse.

Archie Reboot was every single good idea the franchise ever had, all at once. I remain crushed by its cancellation.

I've not read these but they were all written by the same person, right? What is it about the "IDW" run that isn't as good as the previous ones?

It's not obsessed with its own lore, since it has less of it on account of not running for 24 years.

The IDW stuff has been super impressive. That's my vote.
