Anyway these two.

One expression of Goku shows more than pages upon pages of character development. One, if not the best expressions in the entire Dragon Ball manga. Goku is both angry and disappointed at Frieza for throwing away the chance he gave him, but also at himself for giving in to the moment of pure fury.

This is the first time that shows Gutts is definitely not the edgy bastard he wants everyone to think he is. Being called a monster that ruins everything by a little girl makes him crack, even if for a little bit. First panel we see that his edginess is more of a coping mechanism related to his unexplored (at this point) but definitely troubled past (and oh boy is it warranted).
