About The Event
Combo Breaker is a 3-day video game convention and tournament series held each year over Memorial Day weekend. Established in 2015, Combo Breaker carries the torch from the Midwest's former premiere tournament Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament series (UFGT) which held its final event on Memorial Day weekend in 2014. As UFGT did before it, Combo Breaker is big event with its own flavor including but not limited to the mystery game tournament (highly recommended!), auction tournaments, 24-hour venue for constant casual matches, and more! Combo Breaker is brought to by FGC stalwarts Rick 'The Hadou' Thiher, CurlyW, and many great staff members.

Remembering Pheasant Run
This year event will be held at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel dwarfing the event space available at its previous home, the Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles. You will likely hear about the Pheasant Run during Combo Breaker streams. Sadly, the Pheasant Run closed in 2020 and just recently the closed resort suffered tremendous fire damage. The resort was Combo Breaker's first home and allowed for great innovations such as the 24-hour venue; it will be missed.

Final Message from the OP​
In these streams you'll see great commentators and great competitors, but you won't see staff that planned for months on end, bracket runners doing their best to run efficient brackets, production staff manning the streams and others running around to grab players from different tournament pools to play on-stream! And then there's head tournament organizers *for each game* who are always running around to help folks especially bracket runners!

These folks and the community members that sign up to play are the FGC. There are many awesome people in the FGC you have yet to meet. I have personally met some fantastic amazing people who I wouldn't have otherwise!

Don't let trolls on Reddit and a couple bad apples convince you otherwise. I hope you enjoy watching Combo Breaker and I hope you join us for more FGC events and streams!

Kind of sad the big majority of SFV top players outside of NA arent attending. Hopefully they're able to travel again soon for evo. Still really excited to stream monster this weekends!

I'm excited for such a massive event for Strive, and I'm happy the communities for GBVS and UNI are still going strong despite the netcode issues.

Tekken 7 gonna be extremely hype, so many international players are attending. This year the theme is all about US vs EU, there's going to be a tournament on Friday right after pools to determine if EU can beat them in a team fight. Obviously not all of the best players can't attend (both sides miss some killers) but it's still gonna be a wild stream.

I'm a bit disappointed that Bilals visa got approved a bit too late, his Bryan is out of this world and very ruthless. Azm321 on the german side at least gonna attend the tournament to represent badass and ruthless Bryan gameplay. On Legend.Mihawk they've already streamed playing online from their hotel room and even attended ICFC from an Internet cafe. It was the most fun fgc stream I've seen in a while, reminded me of the good ol' no bars hold style type of fgc content I love and dearly miss.

From Arslans twitter, he was traveling with the UK boys and trained with them. You can also look up combo breaker attendee list here

Arslan is not someone who's limited to the Visa matchup anymore thanks to the effort of his sponsors and Tekken community.

There's so much I want to watch but won't be able to due to their being so much and timezones, been thinking for the last 2 days about what I'm going to watch and when. If I watched everything I wanted to in order I'd be watching nothing else until the platinum jubilee lol
