Guys, don't tag spoilers, you are literally in a spoiler thread.

Regarding the first post, I tagged it because sometimes the previews show up in other posts if someone links to this thread and I didn't want to spoil anyone because of that.

You're right though, after that post and warning people are free to post away.

I don't think the trophies are indicative of all the areas. Like clearly we're heading to Kalm, Temple of the Ancients etc

I think you're right. The Temple of the Ancients was on a small island so maybe it doesn't count as a region.
And maybe Kalm is technically part of the Midgar region.

Kalm is part of the Grasslands Region. The six main regions are listed for the protorelic trophies. I imagine the Temple of the Ancients and the City of the Ancients will be special self-contained zones, as well as the Zack scenario.

I suspect Rocket Town will now be Part 3, unless it's part of the Nibelheim Region. Cid's description says he works out of abandoned airstrip running a shuttle service, so it may make more sense to go to his hometown in Part 3.

I think that makes a lot of sense yeah. Cid probably wanted to get away from Rocket Town after the incident, plus it manages to avoid the situation in the original game where he was basically verbally abusing Shera for years.

The bolded would align with how Remake was structured, with a the last few chapters being linear dungeon crawls after the explorable Midgar.

Where the sun shines
I think Gilgamesh is a proper in-universe version of him since one trailer teased a Wutai themed area, likely an outpost.

I guess Johnny's Seaside Inn is the Inn in Costa Del Sol. If I remember correctly Johnny was behind the bar in the Inn in the original FFVII.

Yep, and now it seems like it will be a museum for all the lil' figurines we collect. I imagine that's what we do with the "Kai Arts Sweeper" we saw collected near the chocobo farm in the TGS demo.

Gilgamesh, huh? I should have known 2B or an Ehrgeiz character as the Super Boss was to much to hope for in Rebirth.

Going by the location list, it does seem to end where we all thought it would haha. After Nibel the game takes you to the Temple of the Ancients and then the Ancient City, right? That's what I remember at least.
