We have plenty of exclusive games doing way better than multiplatform titles, being exclusive is not *always* a bad thing for revenue and sales.

I hope the eventual PC release supports 120/144 fps and 21:9 format.

Exclusive, physical stock issues, and no holiday boost, still set a new franchise record.
I was tempted to bump the thread and do some select quoting but i decided against it.
Game probably sold/will sell way more digitally compared to XV as well so SE definitely getting a fat check.

"its an exclusive to one platform" has never been a good argument against its possible sales numbers.
Makes sense, a good game on a single platform is a better product than a bad game on more platforms.

FF7R doing better than FF XV was expected, regardless of exclusivity.
Not saying it didn't but if we just go by numbers current PS4 out there compared to combined PS/Xbox in 2016 might not differ that much.
Some responses make it seem like 7R had a smaller market to seek to than XV had in 2016 because of the exclusivity. Not really the case.

3.5 million sold in three days puts it with heavy hitters like Spider-Man and God of War which all went to sell well over 10 million.
So do we know what FFXV sold in its first month? People said that it solid 5 million copies in the same time period as 7R solid 3.5 million iirc, but I assume those are worldwide numbers. Do we know what it sold in the US?
It "sold" 5 million worldwide on day 1. Those figures are likely actually shipped + sold, but likewise the FFVIIR figures are probably counted similarly.

Those people had to know nothing about sales or crazy .
HZD and UC 4 slod less in a longer time and well over 10 million now.
Unless the game legs get cut off this will end up being the best selling FF game.
