I believe the story is very 'meta' and is about a gamer who gets so good at Gran Turismo, he becomes a professional racer
As much as I HATED Chappie, I've missed Neil Blomkamp. Seems like a for hire gig, but whatever, I'll get excited for this. I actually liked the Need for Speed movie.
I'd be interested to see if they can make the Cafe owner not a complete weirdo
It's based on a real life competition GT use to do. Where the winner became a professional driver.
Not really much to go by, but I think the story has enough strength esp with the actors and directors involved to have a pretty interesting movie.

The funnest part of Gran Turismo to me is racing with slower everyday cars and slowly working your way up. I'm guessing this will only have normal racecars :(
