What kind of games do you like?
Ps4 had most of my favorite games this gen, but I wouldn't say that any of them are universally recommendable.
Wipeout Omega Collection is in my opinion the best racing game around. I've been playing Wipeout since Pure came out for PSP in 2005 and there is just no other racer around with so much depth in its driving/flying physics but at the same time such an amazing sense of speed and arcady feeling. Its very hard to master, I don't even know when it clicked for me, but it took several years of me casually playing Pure, Pulse and HD/Fury before I really got the hang of it.
In the Wipeout threads I regularly see people struggling with the campaigns, which basically means that they haven't understood the mechanics yet, because once you do the campaigns are a piece of cake.
Bloodborne is something I would recommend to anyone who likes a challenges and likes to really sink their teeth into a game. But also not for everyone.
God Of War is probably the easiest to recommend. Great combat, great world, great story, great characters. Even if you don't like action adventures or story driven games you'd still might have fun with the combat on higher difficulties.
Detroit Become Human is something easy to recommend. If you haven't played a game like that before, this would be a good one to see if you like them. If you have played one before and hated them, you won't like this either. I've gone into more detail on my thought on Detroit here:

Until Dawn is an excellent party game in my opinion. Having people over an playing the game together works very well. Its like watching a movie together, but more interactive. If you can see yourself doing that you might wanna get Until Dawn.
Ratchet & Clank is a very solid platformer. If you're into that you'll like R&C. But its not as good as Nintendos genre defining platformers.
Shadow Of The Colossus is one of the best remakes ever made to one of the best games ever made. But it, too, is very special in tone, setting and gameplay and probably not for everyone.
Uncharted 4 + Lost Legacy even though I don't consider myself a huge Uncharted fan, the series I always enjoyed the games a great deal. They're just so well made, I think its impossible not to have a good time.
Not sure if its still an exclusive, but
Guacamelee is an amazing game. 2D platformer brawler. Sublime gameplay, very though.
What was it about Horizon that you didn't like?
