Updated the GT-R livery with a proper chrome roof. Looks much nicer now.
I also shared it on Twitter and got a reply from Chiyo-san himself (the Nismo driver in that Bathurst race)! My day has been made
I love Maggiore with Gr.4 cars, but with Gr.3 it unsettles cars so easily if you make a slight mistake. It is a nerve-wracking track to drive with Gr.3. Really to be honest, I just don't like most of the Gr.3 cars, at least not with the DS4 trigger. It's so easy to just blip the trigger a bit too hard and have the car start to come undone.
Choose a car that has a force induction engine and upshift early if you feel/hear the traction starting to slip away. Upshifting early will usually kill the slide right away, so simply make sure the car is pointed in the direction you want it to go in, upshift early, mash on the throttle. The torque will pull you through and you'll be able to accelerate quicker out of corners than if you're having to control slides all the time.
I did the manufacturers race at Maggiore 1st and had a similar scenario to Eyeball - I had a nice clear track to do my qualifying but broke my rule about doing a nice easy banker lap first, stuck it in the barriers and then had to qualify driving in a pack 13th when I should have managed 6th or so (All cars ranked B/A or B/B) :-
Lap 1 - Go from 13th to 9th
Lap 2 - Get up to 6th then bin it big style, drop to last and finish the lap in 19th
Lap 3 - Go from 19th to 18th
Lap 4 - Catch 17th
Lap 5 - Go from 18th to 17th
Lap 6 - Pass 2 cars on the 2nd turn but accidentally spin a Citroen, get hit by a very aggressive frenchman.Get held up by the same guy as he hits a car ahead and then get taken out by crashing cars on the fast left hander. Finish lap in 15th
Lap 7 - Go from 15th to 14th
Lap 8 - Gifted 13th by a Swiss guy, catch and pass 2 scrapping beetles only for them to rematerialise just before the line. Notice 4 cars parked by the side of the road.
Lap 9 - Pass 1 beetle and narrowly avoid the other going into turn 1. Pass the other beetle at the hairpin. Get pushed wide by the first beetle going into the last corner and cross the line in 2nd?! Wtf?
Lap 10 -
Get barged about by the beetles and drop to 4th which slowly turns into 12th over the course of the lap.
It's a long vid but as you can see there's plenty going on! I got demoted in SR again after this race but can genuinely only see 3 occasions where I was at fault - my spin from 6th, hitting the Citroen and hitting one of the beetles when it appeared in front of me. I got rear ended and side swiped multiple times tho :-(
After that I did the karts in the Nations and came across another glitch - is anyone else getting these kind of issues? This time after qualifying 2nd I started in 3rd with the 1st place nowhere to be seen... Which was because for some reason it'd given the person in last place the lead so we spent the first 5 laps catching them. I won the race but felt bad after for the accidental collision that took the guy I was competing with out :-(
What was the cause of you suddenly getting bumped down to 12th at the end of the Maggiore race? Is that because of penalties or something? I'm surprised at your
racing level that there were such jackasses in your race. Nice job on the racing though. I need to work on those turns before the final straight, I'm always over-cautious there. Those Beetles seem like maybe they need to be toned down a bit, they seem like Gr.3 go-karts.
I've never seen something like that kart glitch, but it makes me wonder if it was an exploit...maybe the same kind of exploit that has people recording 5 second lap times on the circuit challenges.
Also watching your race, I realized that the front cam has an advantage with the shadows denoting people around you. You don't get that in cockpit view so it's hard to know where people are, especially because the radar is off to the side.
I feel comforted that I'm surrounded by people that actually consider terms like "banker lap" as part of their strategy. Aah. Semi-related, but I'm always moderately frustrated that people in the B DR range seem entirely unable to gap themselves for flying laps. There's going to be time for 2 flyers regardless so there's no need to race the outlap. Also, if the laps are <2min, you can reset your track position entirely by going to the pause menu and returning to the pits and then doing a new outlap. It's effectively an exploit that breaks the relative realism of the qualifying session and should probably be removed.
Any UK peeps after a wheel, the G29+shifter is available @ Pc World for £153.99 using GAMINGACCESSORIES30 @ checkout...https://t.co/x2h7hX4ub9
T150 pro is there too for £169 with the same code.
Are the internals of the G29 the same as the G27? There's no point upgrading right?Any UK peeps after a wheel, the G29+shifter is available @ Pc World for £153.99 using GAMINGACCESSORIES30 @ checkout...https://t.co/x2h7hX4ub9

Also, is that T150 considered a step-up from the G27 do you know?
Question for those that have VR, do you need the camera for this as well, or just the headset?
Damn yo, those Fanatec Clubsport v3 inverted pedals look tempting as fuck at 40% off. Is that overkill for this game?
Why is it always bloody Beetle drivers that do this??
[The championship looks less popular this season, don't know if it's ditching the 10pm race or fatigue from 3 weeks on the trot but my friends list table isn't worth posting at the moment there's so few people taking part.
Have there been any updates on GTS sales? It's seeing massive discounts in my country (Australia) this week from AUD$99.95 ---> AUD$29.
Either that or there are player retention issues so they need to have a way to keep bringing new players in which is critical for a game with an online focus like this. Basically the more players that own the game the more chance people will return when they add more content.
i'm fairly certain this is the case. a few pages back i posted about getting a trophy for racing for more than 24 hours. that's not really all that much considering i bought it on launch day.
the trophy showed up as "very rare."
we're the last men and women still playing gt.
I've not taken part this week. I liked the structure of the events and enjoyed it when I had something to prepare for then see how well could do. But when they started up again the day after the first event season finished with nothing to acknowledge the event it just felt a bit pointless and nothing more than an extra daily race you could only do once. I was hoping it would feel more like one-off events to be honest and I wasn't that big a fan of all the daily races switching to only being up for a day.
Before I saw the whole structure I was hoping there would be multiple types of events in slightly different formats like so:
A monthly tournament: Basically the same as this test season but takes place during a set week each month,
A long-term tournament: All the basic track layouts, the race is announced on the Monday and people can do live practice until the weekend where they can choose a time on the Friday, Saturday or Sunday to compete.
Special events: Announced well in advanced but with unique features such as endurance with full tyre wear and damage to bring together a potentially smaller part of the player base.
I was also hoping that the events would feel more focused, the nations cup and manufacturer cup could really use the same data and don't feel distinct enough. But the worst thing is a lack of acknowledgment killed it for me, I think it would have been great to highlight who won and give rewards for taking part and potentially other statistics like cleanest racers, most overtakes, most pole positions and other things. The lack of explaining anything about the point system was also annoying, as playing the points game is usually a big part of sports that use them especially if you're not good enough to be at the top. This is where reward brackets could also have come into play, the best would be those that finish in the top ten, then from there broken down into smaller reward brackets based on points gained.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets worried when they see a beetle behind them.
Try the motion controls. They are actually very good.WOW so I finally got this! It's beautiful! I can't believe how beautiful it is actually. And it is smooth. Going from GT6 to GTS is cray. And I always play on pad and the PS4 controller is muy better.
Check out the website. Community features and decal uploader are online for me

If they're going to abuse on rubber banding like they did with the last few mission races, then they can take the Campaign mode back.
