Don't think he's got the right answer for how to best support artists though. And Joe Rogan can't stop asking the literal same damn question over and over. If we're talking strictly supporting the music, it's Tidal. But looking at the whole game, I feel like it's just tours/merch.
Yeah this is one reason I've started getting into vinyl. If I really like an album I'll get that since it usually comes with the digital release too

Even on the old site, there was relatively high mod turnover.
Honestly, considering the toxicity on and around this forum, I'm not that surprised either. Bronson basically asked to not be harassed, and yet folks couldn't even do that. Hell, even users who've let it be known that they are women or members of the trans community find this place intolerable at times, largely because of the mods can be slow to react to things and how overwhelmingly conservative this place can be at times. I think we've all experienced this when it comes to explaining things like hip-hop and pop, but if it can be this frustrating to discuss music, imagine what it must be like to discuss things that are more nuanced. It is like this awful cycle: someone says something dumb and disrespectful, another person patiently takes time to explain why their take isn't right, and by the time that post is written, another chucklehead posts the same damn thing.
It does suck to see people leave, but I don't think this forum is likely to melt-down as spectacularly as the old place.
Also, KTT2 has open registration and, if this site is anything to go by, I'd rather die than deal with the torrents of shitposts and "lol u mad".
