If Stadia and/or xCloud truly works why would I play on a console or PC going forward?

i could see myself putting off PC upgrades and new consoles if streaming is "good enough". sometimes i just want to play a game, mild latency and 'ownership' be damned

but as an end-all be-all substitute, absolutely not
