For a long time, these things were not being made and got really expensive.

Only works for 3DS XL models. Here's an installation video by the excellent Macho Nacho. Uses USB-C too.

I think the 3DS is a very neat system, one of Nintendo's best IMO. Great that more options are available to extend its functionality.
