The impression I got from what they've said is it's a power she doesn't understand and discovering its true nature is one of her central character arcs.

It is but it isnt...its more like they used Valkryie Profile as a base...but actually made the platforming not clunky as shit and brought it up to parity with the RPG side.

Never played Valkyrie profile ?, she carries the souls of great warriors. She's a chooser of the slain.

Really hope that the Switch game doesn't take too long.
Luckily I have a Steam version as well, but would've liked to play on Switch.
