Is Xbox DLC region locked?

So I bought Destiny 2 on amazon for 10$ and my disk just arrived. It appears to be a European disk. If I were to buy the expansions for the game would they have to be the European version or could I just buy them off the US store? I'm in the US and my Xbox live account is a US one.

No, DLC on Xbox One is entirely region-free, you can mix and match. China might be an exception, since they're the only territory that have a region lock in place, as far as I know.

Totally region free. I just bought Fortnite V-bucks from Brazil and Smite gems from Russia.

Is any region cheaper in general for stuff like DLC? I'm looking for Fallout New Vegas DLC and Assasins Creed III DLC in particular.
